 Re: chris' handwriting
Given the melting temperature of tungsten, I think having the blanks forged or cast versus machined is the way to go.

 Re: chris' handwriting
Okay, but it just seems to go so quick once you get the temps up high enough. Maybe. If we have the tungsten cast into something like five or six times the intended size, and then have an overpaid artisan carve them down into spec with tiny hand tools? Very expensive, lots of waste, sounds like a win-win?

 Re: chris' handwriting
That's an idea I can get behind! Also, there is currently an ad for CNC Plasma Cutting at the bottom of this page.

 Re: chris' handwriting
Tesla will be on the $1 coin. Nixon will be on the $5. Alan Moore will be on the $10. Freud will be on the $20. Patrick Stewart will be on the 25 cent bill. Pennies will be eliminated because they are utterly irrelevant. Hitler will be on the $50 coin. Robert Smith will be on the 50 cent bill.
Coins will have an image of a monolith on their reverse.
On the reverse of every bill will be "This currency is worth 0.000000000000000000000001 ounces of gold."

 Re: chris' handwriting
I like Chris's proposal about the penny though. I feel its complete impracticality and absurd production expenses justify its existence.

 Re: chris' handwriting
How about we compromise and create a 1/1000th cent bill?

 Re: chris' handwriting
I must be on both the 42 cent bill and the $666 coin. These things must exist.

 Re: chris' handwriting
The idea of master jewelers slaving away over obscenely hard metal for something that is declared by the government to have next to no value is really appealing, though. I could see a one-cent bill printed by hand on really classy paper with hand-engraved type though. And surely there has to be something in a higher denomination than the 'Dolf.

 Re: chris' handwriting
I found it amusing that the most hated man in possibly all of history aside from the character of Judas is on such a high denomination. The $1000 (and I think it should slope up from $50 to $1000) should be Stephen Hawking.

 Re: chris' handwriting
I'm all for Hawking on the $1000 coin. (Should it be radioactive? Or should the uranium piece be a smaller denomination?) But if I, say, go to GC and throw down a Cripple for a nice pedal I'm still getting, like, fifteen 'Dolfs in change. Or, more likely, a bunch of Pervs and various random whatnot.
