Ah, that is actually how i prefer to do it, but the ableton way sounds interesting. I like to record random shit and cut it into beatbits. My ghetto techniques require lots of control over sample editing, so i generally just expect to have to do it externally. I will check that out. I actually just acquired a whole pile of vst samplers that i will glean through and see if i can find something that works with the way i work.

Also, i found Ableton basically to be obnoxious to use. I don't know for what type of musician they designed it to be "easier" to work with. I found it needlessly fucked up and oftentimes overly complex. Like, a cool looking GUI, does not make a program "easier for musicians to use" guys.
