That's why I like seeing or gigging with the guys and girl from The Sins- they at least buy shots of Crown after the gig. I can live with that.

Myself, I'll take Maker's or Knob or Wild Turkey 101. Not everyone is a fan of such manly beverages, though, so if I'm buying, it's pretty much a free-for-all. Miz D usually gets Three Olives Grape or Barenjäger, which are both actually pretty good.

I drink Maker's a lot as well. That shit is delicious in a very stout sort of way.

Ugh. I missed my bassist's window of availability today- I didn't get up until 2 in the afternoon.

Much red wine and stuff was consumed during the session last night and then we went to the bar afterward. It is, after all, The Blues, right?

So that's rescheduled for Monday.

I have this pepper grinder that is the best sounding shaker. I am totally rocking it on that track. And some tambourine. And we'll see how much real drumming makes it on there. I may wind up just banging on shit and making it all Waitsed-out.

Bass session for Garda tonight. My bassist just texted me to set up a time. So two tracks will be that much closer to completion, at least. One needs lead vocals, and one needs the other guitarist's guitaring. Both need the livedrum bits. Then they will be done.

So I typed up a long response talking shop and of course Maps crashed on me and I lost it all, so here is the short version:

1. Stingray = I really want a fiver with a single buck, Rotosounds

2. GK700RB = Want but might be a bit much for apartment recording :sad:

3. GK NEO 4x10 - How does he like that? I have been looking at those.

4. KSM27 -> Driven ART DMPA - Interesting.

5. Synths

Word.

1. It is winful. It's as fine a bass as you could ask for.

2. It's a pretty kickass head. The smaller GKs could work well if you want to mic up a bass map, or seeing as they're SS, you could turn down. And still have more than enough map to gig with.

3. He loves the damn thing. It's very punchy and clear. Also, my ex-cab, which I sold to my bassist as I wasn't gigging as a bass player. Also, it weighs nothing, approximately. It's significantly lighter than a Marshall 4x12 guitar cab, and maybe lighter than my AC30. Lotsa clarity from that cab.

4. It's interesting. It's really acting more like a big dirty tube limiter. And if I think it sucks I have a clean DI to reamp. I'm leaving the mics up until tomorrow to see what I think of that.
