Well, durrr...

But that isn't how these work. The idea is that you have come into $100,000 in car coupons, which can only be redeemed with cars, and have no real world cash value beyond that.

Otherwise, this would just be a "You just won $100,000 on a scratch ticket! What do?" thread. :cop:

And the boost lag is what, about eight minutes on that?

There's a mid 90s mustang cobra that runs around Wichita that uses a turbo from a cummins dodge ram. It takes him a little bit, but once he hits full boost pressure, the thing fucking screams. I've seen it run a 9.8x at the track.

I had a friend who put one of the most ill advisably large turbos into a Volkswagen Golf (the old eighties one). It literally took about ten solid seconds for the thing to wind up. Once it hit though, it was fucking silly. A FWD VW with an open diff that wanted to spin one wheel at pretty much any highway speed under about 60 mph when it was wound up. It was scary as fuck to drive in. :D

And that's why I don't like high horsepower FWD cars.

Aye. I don't really have much use for any high horsepower car. Ideally, i like about 200hp in something 2000 lb or less. Just enough to be quick and troublesome, but not so much that you spend every minute driving it either fearing for you life or just completely wasting an awesome motor by running it like it was a Kia grocery getter.

But anyway, any front wheeler that doesn't have an LSD is basically a huge sack of fail. I have had lots of fun in slow FWDs with open diffs, but as soon as you have any power to work with, it is real dumb not to have a limited slip in there. Unless you are a dangerous punk like my friend.

My goal for the end of the summer is have a low 13 second daily driver. That's about as fast as I would want a car to be if I'm driving it everyday.

Block, and yeah, definitely, except painted and setup visually like a cheapo base model Impreza.

Well, then, I'd spend the rest on whatever expensive car has the best resale value.

If you are going to be difficult, then a vehicle will be chosen for you.

In your case, it will be this:

How's the gas mileage on that thing? Looks like it has a good amount of storage space...I could carry some decent amounts of gear in that. I'll take it.

Chevy is nicey, but i generally prefer the Mopar stuff for its general "meanness" in appearance:

They just look so pissed off and awesome.

The Boss Hog style steer horns on the hood are definitely a good idea though. They make quite a statement. :huzzah:

100k? Hm. I would have to go with a 1971 Porsche 911S.

It's funny, the only way you can tell it's an older model is by the obscene amounts of chrome window trim. Otherwise it looks quite modern. Porsche was truly ahead of their time.
