 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
Hmm. Still going.
Mayhap, i have one possessed RAM chip.
I am reaallllllly hoping that this is the issue in its entirety. As, well, the bandaid is free.
Don't know how drum tracking will work on 2GB, but really, drumtracking is my lesser concern with this thing at the moment. If this computerbox is fucked, i am fucked.

 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
I agree with this. ...I've opened up and worked on iMacs and a Mac Mini, though. Even though you need a putty knife to pry open the goddamn case. No user serviceable parts = bullshit. I'mma service it if I sorta think I might know how. Oh, that came out so wrong. Ah, fuckit, everyone knows I can service anything. ...anyhoo, yeah. I have to say the Mac Pro tower is a fine, fine piece of modular industrial design. It's even easier to work on than the G5 towers, which were better than the G4s which... Fuck, we put two drives in one at work the other day, you flip open the side of the case and snap them into the bay, there's not even a fucking cable involved. I think Apple only wants you to be able to work on something if you pay out the for it. In which case they actually make it real, real fucking easy.

 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
Thusly: I'd have to go home to find out the rest of the specs as I don't remember off the top of my head. Err, actually, no, to Snaxodrome II, 'cause that's, I think, where they are ATM. On a shelf in the back with random computer parts and whatnot.

 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
Hmmm. Inneresting. As far as i can tell, this thing uses 666(YESSS!)mhz stuff. I don't honestly know if that 1 Mhz makes or breaks it. With my luck, it probably breaks it though. Specifically, what is in this mofo is "2GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400S-666-12" DDR2 SO-DIMM format. Jeezus, RAM used to be a lot simpler. Do collect moar informashunz from your memories. If it is the right flavor for what i need, then i would most likely buy it from you a bit down the line. I will research a bit moar and see what will fit all up in der.

 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
I am really wary of jinxing myself, but this shit still hasn't crashed since i pulled that one stick of RAM.
Cautiously optimistic...

 Re: MOTHERFUCKER.
sounds like you may have diagnosed your issue,. The one thing I can add, if you can 't figure what the problem is, it's probably ram. Ram issues are always the weirdest to track down. BUt always give blue screen errors.
