My band's demo is basically done. Phil finally sent me his last vocal tracks, and the batch of mp3s I sent out the night before last I suppose he figured was the final mix, since there's three of our songs on myspace now. Well, I guess it's -basically- done. I might have tweaked a little somethings but... there it is.

Sounds very good here. I would drop the vocals a bit myself, and maybe crank the geets about the same amount, but i know its not that kind of party.

Whatever you did to the kick, i dig a bunch more than the last one i remember hearing.

And the snare sounds really excellent, IMO, particularly in this context.

Yus, I blended the kick with a sample of the kick in SD2. With a high pass so it's just adding a bit of high end transient. I also erm, edited it during the fast sixteenths bits. Shhh!

Also, a thing of concern for me while listening to it on my PC speakers is that cymbals... particularly the hi hat... sound a little crunchy again.

It sounds nice listening with Sennheiser in-ears on my Blackberry. But maybe not so elsewhere. I don't even know... It sounds heavenly with my headphones... grr!

There is the entire album if one cares to listen to a higher quality recording. Only Maplitonians and my bandmates have access to this link, of course.

I didn't hear much obvious crunch via myspace, but i do generally expect their sound quality to be somewhat less than amazing anyhow, so i will listen to the proper ones louder later tomorrow and see if i hear any ting. Yarr.

Sounds cute

Yarr. Listening to the proper mp3s, the cymbals are slightly warmish/OD'ing.

Not as much as the last time, and actually, i like them this way, but def a bit of overdrive vibe, particularly on the hi-hats.

Sounds raw, old school and badass.
