Again... lots of albums are in heavy rotation for me this winter. It's been Damnation, Deliverance, Audioslave, In Absentia, and Deadwing non-stop thus far into the snowiness.

This is actually a pretty cool record. I'd have a hard time calling this metal.

I think mayhap some of ye might dig Magazine.

It is Howard Devoto (from the early Buzzcocks lineup) doing something a bit more poppy with bits of electonics/synths added. I am enjoying it, meself.

Second hand Daylight is a bit more 'postpunk', like poppy i guess, almost protogoth in spots:





The other two rekkids i have so far are maybe a bit more punkish in execution, and also quite good.

Am aware of by name, may have heard in passing unawares. Will check out and report back. It sounds up my alley.

Aye, that is where i was. I had definitely heard the last single posted there(shot from bofe sides) without knowing what it was, but was otherwise unfamiliar with the other trax.

Which is really kind of silly of me, because i absolutely love the everliving shit out of the early buzzcocks stuff, and often enjoy the manner in which Mr. Devoto makes his thoughts known, verbally. I really should have known more about this band.

This. Pretty fucking good. I like this band very much.

I guess I'm on an Amorphis kick. This is much more metaller than Am Universum, but still, as a whole, not ubermetal in a metal sort of way. There are double-kicks on this one and even DM growling on one song ( GREED ) though.

That being said, this was the sort of metal I was really into like ten years ago or so. These guys, Moonspell, Tiamat and the like. That and the Göthenburg stuff before whiny-ass Amurrican sissies started appropriating At The Gates riffs.

I think I'mma bust out Sin/Pecado and Skeleton Skeletron later if I'm still in the mood and see if those are still cool records.

What a fucking great band. It's the kinda thing I hope to achieve.

My bassist and I were blasting some Prodigy the other day.

They are excellent. I think that Invaders Must Die may actually be my favourite. It doesn't have any of the classics like Breathe, Firestarter, voodoo People etc, but it's full of awesomeness.

I'm now listening to System of a Down as I haven't in years. I actually quite like em, the riffs are good and the toane is fairly crushing.

In their entirety as I raked the lawn.

It really is way too good.
Everlasting Light, Unknown Brother, Never Give You Up and The Only One are the highlights for me.
