The Big Dirty was my favorite too, even for a few weeks after listening to New Junk Aesthetic.
But then something took over for some reason, I love the fact that NJA has both their southern rock grooves and the swagger of The Big Dirty but it's also fucked up, ugly and angry like Hot Damn! and Last Night In Town.

Plus the production on New Junk Aesthetic is killer.

hmm. I just haven't found the songs on NJA as "catchy" or something yet. None of them really stick in my head like the gems such as We'rewolf etc.

I'm now listening to this again. I love her voice so :love:

We'rewolf is perfect metalcorecockrawkswagger, something that The Big Dirty has in spades and that's something that no other album will have IMO.
That's where everyone was at the time after the big success of The New Black (pretty much the only track like that on Gutter Phenomenon) it made sense to make an entire album in that vein.
But dude, White Smoke, Goddamn Kids These Days and Turtles All The Way Down?
They have these awesome pop rock/emo hook choruses now that are just catchy as fuck.
I am really curious to hear where the next Every Time I Die album goes.
They never do anything revolutionary, but it's always interesting for me to hear the next re-invention of the ETID formula.

Somehow completely forgot how much ass this album stomps.
Sweet fuck, the production is killer too.

IMO, the perfect blend of European and American DM stylings for someone like myself (I muuuuch prefer American death).



Trevor Strnad is easily of the most talented DM vocalists, IMO.
