I am listening to my new nerd rap thingy, trying to figure out what I want to do on guitar and bass for it.

I'm probably going to rework the whole thing, do a bit more with the drum machine now that I am getting kinda comfy with it. I really like this Grizzly as a VST drum machine.

I am currently slowly listening through twenty four hours worth of 2010.

If it makes you feel better, my 2010 library would be much shorter with much worse production values.

Oh, you haven't heard like 99% of this stuff. There is a whole spectrum of production value represented. I really only post one or two types of noise i make.

And i mean really, all of the things i have in my abandoned idea dump on soundclick from 2010, is only like mayyybe twenty minutes total?

As i listen through it, i wonder if i would get more done if i could kick a long-standing wordless slump of the last five or so years. The computer says that a vast majority of these things (235!) have voices on them. Like maybe five of those have words(that i don't intend to keep either).

So. Either i need to find something in the modern era that i care to write words about, invent a new language in which nonsense songwriting words mean something else, or... ???

Unfortunately, it's a very bad spectrum.

Me and microphones, we just don't get along.

Definitely a different type of noise though. I think it works for bands like Sigur Ros, where the vocal becomes more texture and atmosphere. When the vocal is pushed way forward, you can (or rather, i have) run into a problem.

Ideally, i would like it to sound nice, *and* mean something.

It sucks too. I used to have so many words.

I too am having problems with words recently.

I have never been that excited about my lyric writing, and I just can't seem to write anything as of late that I like.

Words are a bitch and a half. It's only recently my songs have started growing words, mostly out of necessity.

Necessity would be helpful.

I think that is a part of my excessive unfinished production. It is always easier for me to start something new, than to finish something old.

Being in a band that doesn't suck and will actually play the things forced my hand on the productivity department. I suggest strongly looking into it?

I feel the same about my writing, I need a partner.

I feel like comedy especially, is one of those things that is just better written with at least two people. If I could have just one other person to sit there and make music with, I would probably get a lot more done.

I usually do what chris said though, it really is easier to just write another one sometimes.
