I'm personally a large fan of "Massa".

The couple of people I'm at all close to are utterly fucking miserable. I don't share my feelings with them unless I'm over-the-top hammered, but attend to them feeling "someone has to." It makes me avoid social contact as much as I feel I can get away with; I only appear in public or professional contexts. Otherwise, I'm quite content to shut myself away and read my books or play my instruments or sleep. I wish I could be deactivated until such time as I am useful so I wouldn't have to feel anything in the in-between. I'd rather, somehow, deal with that than my old friends who won, who beat the proverbial game, because that makes me want to go home and deep-throat a firearm, so I've cut myself off from them entirely. I kinda don't want personal or private relationships with anyone as they are a disheartening chore. Assuming I will always feel alienated and lonely, I miss when I could do that and at least have fun sometimes versus attending to other people's drama. I'm sick of being a good listener.

They've been playing Good Music here near closing time. Tonight it's Ratatat's Classics. Friday it was Metric, Old World Underground... I like this. A lot.

I have considered experimenting a bit though. Say I make a mono mix of my drums in a dry state, delay it a couple milliseconds, add some decently real sounding reverb VST and then crush it. And pretend it's a real room mic.

Obviously it's not too late for me, but all I can say is "Word".
I have set some very unhealthy social and mental habits for myself, we shall see how they develop.

I have made a lot of stupid choices at various forks in the road. And what i am stuck with today... is kind of shit.

You do realize that people who always make the safe/right choice aren't eligible to be The King Of Mexico, right?

Actually, the problem is: I should have made several more dangerous/wrong choices. I was good enough and confident enough to get away with it back then, if i had only run with it. Now i know too much about what my own weak points are. This is not conducive to getting anyplace good/useful.

Meaning: I should be the king of someplace better than Mexico by now.

Well, if it's any comfort you're some sort of king of this here domain we're posting in.
In terms of physical space, it occupies none.
However, in terms of intangible space this place goes on forgoddamnever.
