Because I've never taken the time to write lyrics. I'm a guitarist.

I have a similar problem. Rather, I HAVE taken the time to write lyrics, I've just never accomplished anything.

That's why I occasionally record covers.

I can't sing for shit. I hate hearing my spoken voice played back enough :red: I sometimes sing along to Alk3 songs which I think is abotu the only thing my voice will suit. I don't know that I'm in key though. I think I would maybe be ok if I had any confidence in it and thus would project properly, but I feel like enough of a dick even singing when I'm completely alone :red:

My range is like less than 2 octaves. I don't know the exact limits note-wise, but basically I'm a baritone. I've been workin on my singing lately though, because I'm gonna be doing back up vocals in an electronica/blues rock band and lead vocals for some piano n drums stuff I wrote and an Irish a capella group I started for fun with some friends and maybe some other projects. My voice isn't horrible but it's pretty bland :idk: I can sing kinda quiet or really loud :idk:

I can do a lot with my voice.

And all of it sounds ... just awful.
