Re: What Are U Listening To Right Now: Home Surgery Instruct Nirvana are right swell. There was a point in time that i could play all of their songs, and most of their bootleg/b-sides. Nirvana, Hendrix, and Zeppelin were pretty much the extent to which my friends in high school could rock out, skill-wise. All of the Nirvana records are still badass though. In Utero is straight up violent and awesome. Some sweet beats too. Scentless Apprentice is fantastically pummeling. Anyhow, myself, i am listening to this... er... special offering from none other than... billy joel?:

It is supposed to be like one of the "worst rock records ever made", but i am just not hearing it. It is almost too good to be that bad.
Just sounds like a not great Deep Purple cover band that forgot the guitars. And the keyboardist occasional drifts into kind of ill fitting kids nursery rhyme sorts of melodies. Not good.
But not as Terrible as i had hoped.

Hell, I still think Bow Down is a pretty kickass metal song.
Not big on what I heard from the second though..
I'd be curious about the third.
