I am greatly branching out lately from just DM, it appears..
I have been listening to a comparatively large amount of grind and hardcore lately and it's starting to seep into my writing.
It's pretty dope, I gotta say because grind and hardcore mix just a little bit easier/more seamlessly with 70's rock/stoner-sludge metal than death tends to.
It's also a cool change of pace for sure.

Yes, I am pretty familiar with Cursed through other people but not much personal experience in terms of one-on-one time with their discography.
I'll check them out ASAP.

III is my favourite. Its got a good blend of crust, grind, d-beat and sludge.

All of those bands are not like, pure 80's shit in any way shape or form.
They don't have garagepoop production and there's a lot of other shit going on for sure in terms of stylistic flavorings.
Lots of sludge and hardcore riffs with all them.

Friends in the music business still blows me away. There are a few videos of them playing it live and you'd think the building was going to collapse it was that fucking crushing.
