Re: What Are U Listening To Right Now: Home Surgery Instruct I have really liked some stuff and been kinda like "huh..?" on some other stuff. However, the more deeply I travel into this thing (I also downloaded all of Alice) I'm beginning to realize that there are little sub-genre niche sounds that I've never even heard. Specifically his dark, smoky jazz stuff. I'm still getting used to it but some of it is catching on. I also listened to it at work, so I did not have a ton of time to be intently listening. Will report back when I have more defined perspectives.

Chang sounds really good these days i think, doing a little more than the DA screech'n'growl, moving slightly away from the Seth Putnam thing maybe. I am into it.

Re: What Are U Listening To Right Now: Home Surgery Instruct It has all of these short moments of almost greatness/interestingness, but then it turns away from it last second.
Also, there are parts where it *almost* goes to a cool noisy dissonant sort of thing ala Deathspell Omega or something, but it is almost like it keeps tripping itself up before it really gets there or something.
I will definitely listen to it more times. But two spins so far haven't blown my mind.
