"Many of the men who hurt and abused you are no longer alive."
And many of the women who were hurt and abused by these same men are no longer alive.
What the fuck is this shit, one big apology from faggots for what happened to women since the beginning of time?

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
While we're at it, let's apologize for all the men who get fucked in the courts in custody battles. Guys who have to pay mothers who impregnated themselves with semen that was orally extracted. Guys who are falsely accused of rape. Guys who are constantly on edge because if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time, someone will call 'perv'...
In this society men can barely work at all as nurses, childcare, etc because paranoia dictates that they are probably going to rape. Fuck, man.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
+1 on what Geoff said.
I overheard a female student (back in high school) straight up threaten a teacher that she would report him for sexual harassment etc. just because she got a bad grade that she deserved. I reported what I heard to the principal for she ever had a chance. She later did try to report him, I testified what I heard plus there was already a note in her file about it, and she was expelled (from the magnet school/academy, she had to return to her base/regular high school) for it.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
And women, specifically ones within our own society, DO have it hard? In this current apologetic climate I'd say no one is justified to say any certain sex is getting the short end of the stick.

I just find it utterly hilarious that anyone would be able to say with a straight face that males have to fight to achieve equality.
Guys aren't fighting for fucking equality, they are fighting to retain domination.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
I agree with you chris, but I agree with Geoff that men are often discriminated against because of the paranoia/stigma that mean who want to work with children must want to rape them.
EDIT: It's also a big reason why they have problems finding teachers these days, at least according to my mother who works in primary education (k-2). Men who apply for teachers at her school go through a way more strict vetting process because of the paranoia that they must abuse children. Women are pretty much hired without much of vetting process at all. Once again, according to my mom, a female educator who works with young children.
Outside of that, white males have it pretty sweet.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
No, it has a perfectly good reason. My problem is that both genders commit abuse but only one is targeted for investigation in the hiring process. Women sexually abusing young students is not uncommon. This is a list of abuse cases by female educators, and it is not a short list: http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=39783A list of males would be longer, according to the statistical analysis, but that list certainly justifies consideration. "Following a federal mandate to investigate this topic, the US Department of Education published a literature review of educator sexual misconduct synthesized by Charol Shakeshaft in 2004. According to her analysis, 9.6% of high school students have experienced some form of educator sexual misconduct during their school career. The offenders were most commonly teachers or coaches, whose positions allowed them to spend increased individual time with particular students.3,4 Across 7 studies, the sex of the offender varied significantly; although the majority were men, 4% to 43% were women.3-10 The offenders ranged in age from 21 to 75 years, with a mean age of 28.8 The sex of the victim was somewhat less variable than that of the offender: 54% to 77% of the victims were female and 23% to 46% were male.3-8,10 Same-sex abuse was in the minority. In 13% of cases, female teachers abused female students.3-6,10 Within samples of victims, overrepresented minorities included black, Hispanic, and Native American children.3,4 Children with disabilities were at increased risk for sexual abuse because of greater individualized attention and because of their possible difficulties with communication.2" That is from Psychiatric Times. According to this study: Tomeo, M; Templer, D; Anderson, S; Kotler, D (2001). "Comparative Data of Childhood and Adolescence Molestation in Heterosexual and Homosexual Persons". Archives of Sexual Behavior 30: 5. 1/3 of sexual abuse to children was committed by females. The major problem in measuring this is that male students from middle school on almost never report the abuse, except to their friends to whom they high-five. Obviously this would indicate the act was consensual, but it is still abuse. In fairness, many sexual abuse cases go unreported, so collecting data on it is not easy to do. Especially when you consider the ethical issues. I worked at a summer camp, and it was wildly inappropriate for me to be alone with a camper. Obvious and for good reason, but female counselors would often be left alone with campers, especially if they were a nurse, and no one would think anything of it. I pointed this out to the director and he agreed it was a stigma that they dealt with. Once again, males are not suffering in the battle for equality. My problem is that sexual abuse to children is committed by a great enough portion of women that everybody should be vetted. Simply targeting men is ineffective and the overzealous paranoia has scared men out of young education. Now there is a shortage of teachers to teach children. Are men over-represented as sexual abusers of children? Yes, and thus any man seeking to work with children should be investigated reasonably. But the percentage of cases committed by women certainly justifies that they should go through a similar if not equal process. That is not the case in my or my mother's experiences.

I agree with Chris on this. That being said, re: the education system, a good friend of mine is an educator who because of the shitty local economic situations and the fact people love to cut essential services (cops, fire, teachers) to save money, doesn't matter where (I grew up in a well-to-do suburb that often had highest-rated schools in the area that voted the school budget down every year, so it's not just the city and the poor rural folk) has moved between several school districts in the past few years. She is in her mid-30s, never married, lives in the city. She's fairly overeducated for what she does and prefers working with high schools, but out of desperation has applied for elementary positions, for which she is actually qualified. She never gets those positions. They want married suburban moms. Those are positions that are traditional "women's work". They want completely conventional. So it's not just men they're scrutinizing.

This is also very true. It also stems from a stupid stigma that since a woman is single, she is going to have a baby sometime (because moms never have more than 1 child ...) and thus would have to miss work requiring a sub etc... Generally if you are not a woman with children trying to enter the education field, you are going to have a tough time.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
Also I didn't watch the video so I have no idea what it is on about. I just hate that men who want to be educators are instantly thought of as rapists, because I was once a man who wanted to be an educator who has since decided it against because of the stigma, and from the advice of current educators.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
Men are also sexually abused. But in these cases, it's either "good for you" or "quit being a vagina about it". And yes, in some ways men DO have to fight for equality. The courts for one almost always favour women... Women get off with a slap on the wrist for crimes men spend decades in jail for. Also, if you dealt with divorce with children, I'm sure you'd sing a different tune. Then there is the issue of bogus feminism, where everyone is expected to unanimously agree that women deserve all the benefits men get AND remain entitled to all the benefits they have enjoyed all along. I could go on.

 Re: 1.. 2.. 3..
Oh and the custody battle thing as well.
In SC, custody is almost always granted to the mother, and the husbands are given the burden of proving that they are not only worthy of custody, but that the mother isn't. Luckily the court system does usually end up with reasonable custody decisions, but after the fathers have to fight for it.
My former manager went through this situation. He had a steady salary position working for one of the most prominent and well respected hotel owners in the area. His wife was a waitress who was living on a friend's couch while she looked for a place to live after they divorced. The mother was instantly granted custody without any real consideration, and my manager had to bring proof against her as to why he should be allowed to even see his child, nonetheless have her live with him.
This is the case in SC, I do not know how it is elsewhere.
The problem is no consideration is given over custody before the custody trial, instead it is just granted to the mother by default. Unfortunately, the mother is not always the best caretaker for the child. Some consideration needs to be given for the men, as men are totally capable of being caretakers.
Also my manager now has complete custody of the child.
