There was a David Attenborough documentary series I watched a few years back where he was down there and pointed out, traversing some rocky desolate Hell, the dessicated carcass of a seal whose species had been extinct for several thousand years. Thing was just sitting there, quite thoroughly frozen. (Thaw it out for a delicious delicious snack?  ) It's probably still there. What will you be doing down there, anyhow? I'd be curious to hear your experiences of getting there, assuming you do wind up going. Even the journey itself is a bit on the rough side.

If you look on the wing near the engine there is a gold thing hanging on a pylon. I'm operating that. It takes pictures of cloud particles and then we do science with them

(He owns a '73 Super himself that I like to borrow because it is fucking awesome.) I feel almost morally obligated here to be like "hey, Chris, can you pick me up that Super after work?" At that age, it's cosmetically a Silverface but it's a Blackface inside. None of this master volume shit. It would bring me one step closer to my triumvirate of power.
