If it's possible to experience withdrawals from marijuana (sounds kinda silly don't it? ) I am right now.
I feel like utter motherfucking shit.

I am always serious. Always.

I suppose it is. If you smoked all day every day, it would make sense. I think these days I'm in a perpetual state of mild alcohol withdrawal. I manage to drink quite a lot while rarely getting drunk by virtue (if you can call it that) of drinking small amounts throughout the day whilst having a substantial tolerance and pretty well unlimited access to quality boozeahol. And also decided I don't care about sobriety. As long as I'm not eff't up at work or rehearsal or onstage, it's fine, nor do I particularly enjoy being totally schnockered lately because of the sheer quantity I have to consume and the resultant effects. But I have psychological and social issues that mean I don't much like totally sober me either, whom I can tolerate as long as I'm in a darkened hole at work doing techshit looking at prettyprettypictures and not actually having to interact with people much.

I feel the need to respond to many of the above posts.

Chris - nice to make a few bucks doing something you like, and doing partially hobo style recording is better. I had to do the gangstyle BU Vox on a recording with one track left (4track tape) and no headphone map, much like you I did the just point the mic away from the speaker and all gather round the one 58 I had a the time. I ended up added a modulating delay panned opposite the true bu vox and it fill it out tremendously

Geoff - Look no further for that 4 track tape, there's still one available in the classifieds... it never sold. Let's say $10 + shipping or even $5+, whatever....

Cam - yes, withdrawal can happen. Fuck it happens with that cunt called caffeine. She's a wicked one too. Clarity takes a few days my friend, but you will have a job and buy many stuffs with such, then can buy moar doaps.

Hiryuu - I hate sinus infections, I had a 2 week headache with one of those, that is some seriuz shit. I will kill with that shit.

Snaxie - Your issues seem to be a step back in time to my own. I tried self medicating for a while when having some severe issues for a while (losing a big time recording contract with made videos, seeing the light of the tunnel, thinking you can't do it again, no, not again) then actually having a doctor medicate you, realizing, you're much better off self medicating, I didn't like his drugs, mine were much better. The only time I could deal with people at the time was while recording, and I was not much fun to deal with. Maintenance drinking for the win.

As my tranny friend likes to say: "people are stupid: it's all dope". Which is the mainstream socially unacceptable truth of the matter. We've definitely had some interesting conversations on the subject, especially with Miz D and my bassist. We're all of like mind on the subject, really, in that there's no one solution that affects everyone the same way, and some people Just Can't Handle Their Shit, especially when there's psychoactive physically addictive substances involved. Something isn't better or better for you just 'cause of who made it or the fact it was prescribed. To quote a friend re: her meds "it's basically synthetic cocaine, made in a lab. I'd probably be better off doing real cocaine". Another friend of mine smokes pot 'cause it makes her less loopy than the pain meds she was prescribed after she was in a serious car accident. She's lucid on the weed, can't function on the legal, "acceptable" pills. And the list goes on; we all know them (or their opposites, those hooked on legit meds who can't function 'cause of them.) And this is just psych/pain meds, to say nothing of recreational intoxicants. Which I have no issue with- go nuts, don't be too stupid, learn your limits, whatevs. This doesn't necessarily mean I want to be around some people in some states, but I don't care in the least what they do in their own time. But I digress.

I think this is something that will always be a greater issue and of greater relevance to the creative community because it affects us proportionally more. Basically, artists are nuts.

As a plantitarian, beans are a vital part of my consumables. I wouldn't mind having something other than chili-over-stuffs/pasta/pizza for my one bigass meal a day circa midnight, but that would mean I would actually have free time , which is totally unacceptable.

Brake line bust in really inconvenient spot behind the gas tank, AND, it is clear that the last bit of work she had done, basically the whole exhaust, the doods did completely ignoring the Very Major Issue of the suspension's rear crossmember having been reduced to a rusted out hull roughly the thickness of a heavy duty tin foil, by the East Coast's weather and salt content.

I am actually quite pissed that the shop that did the exhaust didn't even mention that, as it is completely all fucked to shit. And it is impossible for a car person to miss, especially, as the bit that is worst off, is right where the exhaust pipe is. I.e. they looked right at it, said "fuck it" and just tacked the exhaust on. Essentially, the rear driver side wheel is just one good pothole away from disconnecting itself from the vehicle.

One other unfortunate downside to quitting smoking;
I've rediscovered the fact that as is, my body does not like to consume food.
I must have lost 5 or 10 pounds in the past 3 days.

When you're 125 to begin with, that 5 or 10 makes a fucking huge difference.

I will share as little story. I had a similar experience, I was coming down to LI from Rochester and the pressed axle bearing came off the wheel and the entire axle came away from the car, looking quite strage as the wheel was about 2 feet away from the fender. I too was thinkg. Super. Well to make matter much better the NY State Trooper that came to assist me (Eric can tell you about the NY Troopers, they are not cops, just cunts) Seems the large black gentleman did not like my attire of boots, ripped jeans and a chain around my waist for a belt (uber metalz), and of course sans shirt. So he decided to go through the car looking for teh doaps.... asked what was in the sammich bag, in which I replied, bologna & cheese (friend was with me) anyway he was just busting balls on top of the fact that I was still 100 miles from home and had to fix this car on a hot fucking day. Funny the dick never checked the cooler which had about 1/2 empty 12 pack......

And yes, the car fixer man should have spotted that issue dude. That is NOT cool. at all.

Things are stating to make a lot of sense.
Pretty much everything I have read here resonates with what I am experiencing/experienced.
It also explains how I successfully used it as an anti-depressant, I didn't know it boosted seratonin and dopamine levels.
