Actually I think the VC50 is the combo 50w version of the VH100 head.

In a general sense, i am becoming quite tired of things getting worse.

Unfortunately, things seem to enjoy the process, and so, there it goes.

Stopped at the Goo Goo Dolls' studio to set up a drum session weekend for next month for ze Garda record. We've a lot of stuff in the can that needs to see the light of day. It took us a while, but we've found our own sound. Which I guess does sound like the end result of a bunch of guys from metal and prog bands playing indie-goth pop-industrial dancerock.

We also wrote an awesome new song at rehearsal today, tentatively titled Hitler Would Be Proud (randomly named, as they all are, for our amusement and memory [the latter in particular] until they Receive Words) which sounds like the bastard children of a funked-up Primus/Doors/Bauhaus/AIC groupfuck somehow condensed into three and a half minutes of disco and four chords with guitars that half the time sound like distress transmissions from exploding spacecraft. This is why I get up in the morning instead of saying "fuckit" and Consuming Ammunition. It's rare this happens, but good goddamn when it does it fargen does.

Good gatdam Chris, if I had a box of good luck I would ship it to you. With your luck it would get lost in the mail and picked up by some multimillionaire.

In this case, the IRS would gladly accept it here at their new house. Dark times. I don't know if my parents are equipped to handle what they have just been handed. I often joke about being imminently homeless, but as it turns out, there is some reality behind it also.

I got an e-mail from my tranny friend saying that she booked us a gig a month from now. (No details naturlich ) but this should prove interesting. A low-down dirty blues goth duo with trip-hop backing tracks off a laptop. This may go over like the proverbial lead balloon depending on where it is.

Of course, this means we actually have to rehearse, which puts me at a minimum four nights a week banding.

The difference between 30w and 50w is much more then 50 to 100w right? I'm talking tone and feel not loudness.

I would think the 30w would be either EL84's or 6V6's and the 50 would be "grown up" toobs.

The difference in feel from 30w EL84 to 50w 6L6 is probably gonna be fairly substantial compared to the difference between a 50 and 100 watter, methinks. It's amp-dependent, of course, but...
