I am out of the loop, as I said. I didn't know this existed.

Love the fret squeaks and massive 'verb. And the Moog lead. And the lo-fi vocals. And the acoustic work toward the end, as it's a different sound than I'm used to hearing from them. (I'm suspecting that's Frederik, as it doesn't sound like Mikael's playing. And Mikael's one of my big influences on acoustic... along with Ani Difranco ) I'm really curious the direction they go in with the new record.

They need to give me something new to remind me how much I them.

What do you think of it?

I am conflicted..
It is haphazard as fuck, like, SUPER HAPHAZARD.

Metal should be frantic and whatnot, but this seems a little unfocused.
Some sweet riffs fo sho, but I don't think I'm too fond of the way they organize their stuff.
Who knows though, it may grow on me further.
That's usually the case with super crazy tech stuff for me.

I just found it boring. I really wanted to like it with the theme and all, but it was just too much.

It is definitely incredibly un-dynamic, but I like Necrophagist so I can deal with that.

Okay, I gotta admit though, I really dig the title track.
