What Chris said. A v67 and RSM-4, especially with a little tweaking, will yield results for very little cash. Those hold their own on a number of sources. Re: the RSM-4, watch for ribbon sag. Open the thing up and take out the internal windscreen. The inner layer of mesh on the headbasket of the v67 can also be removed for similar-ish (though probably not as dramatic) results.

I do. It is an okay combination with my 57, but not quite as complimentary to it as my e609 was. It sounds great on drums.

I would probably be using it alongside a Nady Ribbon/MXL 990 or other Condenser/OM2.

It's quite alright. I mean, I am still using the 990 anyway, plus it is all packed up for moving that was supposed to be in two days but is now in a month.

Honestly I don't know why you're selling it. A decent LDC is indispensable. Like, until you get a better one.

To clarify, I don't have fancier one yet, but I have a few in mind. Selling the 990 would go towards funding that. Seriously though, there are way too fucking many mics to choose from.

That said, I'll probably just end up hanging on to the 990 anyway, but I am keeping my options open.

It is good to have more than one around. Stereo recordings and the like.

Plus I will probably upgrade from a 2-input interface sometime in the future.
