Listening to some jams from my metal band the guys recorded last week when I had the Garda shows. Our drummer was out of town this week so no rehearsal. I like the way the songs are developing- I'm just a sideman here, so I get to observe quite a bit; I'm not at every rehearsal... there's some stuff that sounds like a Tea Party/Zeppelin thing tuned way, way down plus Tool, djent and Sepultura kind of grooves and drumming, real different. Major keys for part of it. The bit where the volume gets rolled back on the low chugs and there's the breakdown with the hi-hat chokes totally, totally does it for me. If there's one thing that keeps me going it's knowing I have some cool-as-all-hell records to make, dammit. Filthy, filthy sounding records with distortion on everything.

Came -> <- that close to smoking salvia last night. The bag is sitting on my desk right now, along with an apple with a good hit left in it and a decent sized nugget. I think it was sour diesel or something berry.

Do not recommend salvia based on my friends experiences - I was with them at the time (sober) and they had really horrible trips.

My experience is identical to Todge's.

I had to convince them that what they were seeing wasn't real and that it would all be ok in a few minutes... Bloody hard work

I've done salvia before and had an amazing trip. Was scared to try it last night tho cause I was already drunk and pretty high. And there's no way i'm doing salvia by myself in my room with a window that opens large enough for my to slide out of from the 9th floor.

Acid is tame shit. If you did salvia, and were able to stand, you didnt trip. Thats the troof.

And the trips get stronger the more you do it. I would know, i have a bottle of 100x. Probably 20 grams in there. mMMmmmm MMmmmm good.

Salvia is short-lived and uncontrollable though. I'd much rather have 6-8 hours of tripping (and while I have had some acid I would consider "tame" I have had shit that HAS made me incapable of walking/moving for a couple of hours) that I can easily manipulate and converse on over being rendered retarded for a few minutes. Though the salvia trip may be more intense, I just don't like being dumb. I have seen people drool all over themselves like a jackass, freak out and brood in their rooms for hours and all around just not enjoy themselves.

The temporary home Snaxostudio now occupies half the living room, which is a decent sized asymmetrical room all to itself. With the rest usable as a live area- it's big, it's open, it's wood, to paraphrase Ren And Stimpy. Miz Jen is down with this, because it gives her an excuse to leave her guitar out in the living room, and all she has in there are plants anyhow.

I haven't had an inspiring room at home for a while. I'll like this for as long as I'm going to have it.

I am so pumped to move into my new place for that exact reason.

ah yeah. I drool when i do it. But thats because i'm in a complete dream state. Its kind of like being locked out of your conscious body and whisked away somewhere else. And when ever its happening, i'm like "its completely normal for trees to be 8 bit, for bunnies to fly, and the sky to have fractals in it". And then when i come back i'm like "oh wait.... that wasnt normal". To me, its like having a dream. Yeah. I wish more people could feel that

I had a pretty crazy but awesome experience with Salvia myself.


But my trip was 100% hallucinatory, it wasn't a modified, trippy version of what I was seeing in front of me.
As far as I know I wasn't talking and I definitely wasn't drooling.
I was sweaty as fuck right afterwards though.

Logitech g700. My g9x was hurting my arm. So i got something curvy and naice. Its sweet, wireless mode sucks, but whatever, it has a wired cable too. Upsides? shape, middle click is softer - which includes the side scrolling clicks where you tilt the wheel - (g9x has the HARDEST middle click ever) more buttons. Downsides? No color coding profiles (with the LED's), sweaty hands (dif texture than g9x). Its basically the same weight as a g9x with the battery out.

sweaty is normal. salvia raises your temp by 2-4 degrees for the time that you're tripping.

But yeah, total dream state hallucination with no control over your body is what a good salvia trip is like. You know its a good trip when you forget that what you're seeing isn't real.
