Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Only time I tried salvia I was knocked out of this universe.
Friends told me I basically fell over on the bed and started laughing the hardest I've ever laughed in my life while covering my eyes with my hands and kicking in the air.
Trip was pretty awesome, but I can't imagine what a bad trip would be life on that level of hallucinating.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Recorded drums for a band today... Two of them are in their forties, old thrashers. So we're doing it the old fashioned way. No clicktracks, triggers, impulses... And it's really refreshing and fun this way! It helps that the drummer plays well enough that I won't need any of the newfangled stuff... And by that I basically mean that he beats the piss out of his drums. I had the overheads and snare channels on my interface on zero and they were still just getting into clipping zone!
The big dude showed up in his two wolves shirt with a case of beer and I knew it would be magic.

That's how the new Decapitated album is being recorded. ALSO; bass was tracked with a distorted ass SVT classic and a B4 solid state and I guess it's gonna be totally audible.

Ah, yes. The re-discovery of the fact a big distorted bass guitar you can actually hear as such actually sounds really awesome.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
The last of my family members has been seen off to the bus station and at last my awake/asleep scheduling can be allowed to drift back to normal.
It is a little odd, aside from recording that one band early in the month, i didn't get just about anything else done at all in the month of May, what with the revolving cast of visitors and northerly travels and labors. I didn't record anything for myself at all. Totally bizarro.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
No improvement, and no further enlightenment either, as the principles involved, neglected to bring their documents with them for the porpoise of my perusal.
I guess then i am just waiting for a new mailing to inform me that things are worse. My parents are certainly not reliable sources of such information. I don't know exactly how they were able to buy two houses in the first place, being as fast and loose with the organizational skills as they are.
So for now, no expected stability, but no specifically defined catastrophic action either. Lots of shit in rough and worsening shape though, all over, dollars-wise. My people are doom chasm tightrope runners. It uh, keeps us young?
Everyone has to be self destructive somehow.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Let's hope. It takes just one fucking asshole to go "we need inaudible bass and triggered everything just like every other recent metal album" to ruin it.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
True fact: big grinding bass guitars sound way cooler than a vaguely audible low droning whump. Exponentially more evil. You'll tune to R-flat but bury the bass, which distorted is a particularly violent sort of noise? Eat my ass.
Also, on an unrelated note: my sleep schedule = hella fuck'd.

I'm packing my shit up to move house. I frigging hate moving house. I also ordered bits to make a PTP 1 knob fuzz pedal for when I've finished moving

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
So sleepy.
Partly the offputting nature of being on visitor schedule still, partly the lethargy of it being (finally) seasonably warm today.
Solution to all issues, i think, is going to be quadrupled coffee intake?

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
my caffeine addiction is taking hold of me, I too seem more tired than usual and keep upping the coffee. I think it has part to do with the no spring, we went straight into summer from winter, heat makes me tired.
It couldn't have anything to do with 4 bands and 3 hour workouts 4 days a week.
Just need more coffee. Or something stronger.

I am doing the same thing and feel the same way. The light at the end of the tunnel is that the house is fucking super sweet, and would allow me to jam out quite loud which = awesome.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Thank fuck for summertime weathers. I am happy to have finally jettisoned the coldtimes.
I forgot how sleepy the warms made me though. It is okay, i remain confident that coffee will prove to be the answer.

July 12th. And it IS going to be no triggers or samples, they were incredibly poignant about that in the studio updates. No copy pasting of ANYTHING, either. They are hyping the production on this thing pretty fucking hard.. It's an understatement to that I'm really excited.

By the way, it's being produced by the dude who was at the helm of the last two Behemoth albums.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Doesn't surprise me. Those Polack DM dudes actually Know What's Up re: production values and using real instruments, from what I've heard/seen/can tell, and are operating at a high level of quality. On an unrelated note, I may or may not be on at all this weekend as my laptop has bought the farm. Thus the Hackintosh Buildtime. And on another unrelated note, my metalliband may have a dedicated keyboardist now. We auditioned one. He is interested. He is good. He also left a flight case and stand in our rehearsal room, which is a Positive Sign. He used to be in a NIN tribute band!
