I hate those fucking days where you're messing around with some music, it sounds cool, and then you keep playing it trying to get to go somewhere, and then pull something together, and then realize it blows.

I do it fairly often. For me, it is just too difficult to tell how a part is going to play out between the guitars and drums, when i can't play them both at the same time without spending the time to record them. Would be much easier if i could clone myself for jamming porpoises. I would get through dead end ideas much faster, anyhow.

That said, i never delete it. Sometimes i hate something right after i get it down, but removed from it a couple days or weeks, i like something about it a lot more. Solutions suddenly appear, that sort of thing.

Sometimes it is just an abortion though. I seem in particular to have a problem trying to play parts too fast. Meaning, faster than the part sounds good at.

I don't record ideas too often because it's a hassle to set up generally, and I also remember just about everything I play usually. Which is almost worst because I can't get away from it
