The problem being my lesbionic hausperson and I have not been home + awake at the same time for the past couple days for more than a couple minutes. Thus no camera, because I don't know where it is. I think I'mma just call her at this point.

The only issue I've run into is enabling screen resolution greater than Jack Shit (read: 1024x768) which, well, loves the teh caulk.

Everything else works like a charm, and I'm installing all my goodies: Logic, etc.

On the plus side, the downtime has me playing guitar constantly, mostly leadwank (of both the repentatonic and dissonant faceshredd sort) and metal rhythm stuff. That, bad jazz and Ani-wannabe acoustic-isms. In short: chopsy nonsense, which I don't actually use at all in Garda. My fingers hurt, but I'm reminded I can bust a move or two on the thing if need be.

nvenabler kext solved that issue. Now I have 1440x900 on my borrowed monitaur and all is right with the world. Off to do my laundry.

That was pretty victorious, gotta say. I did find the camera (under a chair in the lid of a rack case) but for whatever reason it won't connect to the laptop, which has intarwebs ATM. The Rackintosh does not, as I do not have an Ethernet cable kicking about long enough to reach the router. I have some pictures of the whole whizbang, including the tape machine, which is currently pressed into use as a keyboard stand for my Alesis. I was an asshole and put an Apple decal front-and-center on the case, with the Core i7 decal beneath it.

I suppose I will return the camera to its rightful owner when she gets home, assuming I'm awake, and have her e-mail me the pictures, which is moderately hilarious as she's kinda... down the hall and to the right.
