 Re: The Chris Thread
hrmmm, if I planted bamboo in my yard, do you think a panda would just show up one day to start munching. If so, then, I shall be a planting. Plus I do not like my neighbors and nothing pisses off neighbors like a shit ton of bamboo next door.
I am waiting for my office to be infiltrated by pandas. Seems each girl in the office has a small bamboo plant in their cubicle. I would love to see a panda sitting at one of their desks just shitting up a storm after munching down their bamboo plants.

 Re: The Chris Thread
It might. 'S New Yawk; anything could happen. Plus, the panda (the black-and-white version) is about as dimwitted a beast as there is. It could roll up for no reason whatsoever simply because it has no idea where it is. It seems like it would make a fantastic pest- almost; it's Too Dumb To Fuck, so it's a bitch of a time getting them to reproduce in captivity. It does have the advantages of being physically very large and astoundingly stupid. There's gotta be a way to make the things in a lab. It's inefficient, lazy, stupid and mean. If it was an inveterate penny-pincher and had a thing for following rules and regulations to the letter without exception, I'd say nature designed it as middle management.

 Re: The Chris Thread
If a panda escaped from the zoo it would be drawn to your yard with the scent of delicious delicious bamboo.

 Re: The Chris Thread
It's not an awesome picture, but it's random historical trivia and I'm not entirely sure there's a more appropriate place to put it:
Re: high ticket prices for major touring acts- six tickets for Mozart in 1785 Vienna would have cost you about $900. Even playing to a half-empty theatre he was taking home roughly $20k a show after expenses. (I'd assume if it sold out he'd pocket the rest of the door.) Some shit doesn't change.

 Re: The Chris Thread
Earthquake happened this afternoon... it was a moderate jiggle. I thought I was just tripping on the sodium from my lunch until people got to mentioning it online.

 Re: The Chris Thread
Always getting in the way. The problem with buffaloes is that they're gigantic. Also, often found in large groups. They are by all accounts delicious, though. Q: I can't get out of my driveway; my yard is infested with buffaloes! A: Eat them.
