Might not be a "problem" but Im addicted to writing music. If a couple of days pass and I havnt written anything new, I start to get down on myself. Every single day, there has to be something new that Ive written ( obviously something Im proud of ) in order for me to feel good about myself continuing on with writing more music in the future. Sure, I get out of the house, go to the gym with friends, go riding, go party, whatever but all of my thoughts ,even when Im partying / out are about music, and what I will write next. I am a meth head for writing music.

Yes I can.

It actually is almost a problem with my 'actual life'. I mean I am starting school soon and have all these other priorities. But all I can think of is my tunes. Maybe not so much writing or creating them as making the ones I really care about come into full fruition.

definitely. I haven't written in a while but when I was writing a lot, I felt the need to write every day. It's a great feeling, just go with it and keep writing. Post some of that shit too.

I just need to be building. Music, or whatever. I have been focusing a bit more on music for the last few years' stretch, and it has been one of the only go-to "making-stuff"s for a LONG time, but other things come and go too. And when they do, they tend to push rock'n'roll aside for a few weeks, or a few months. I think my brain needs to mix it up a bit.

The only time i get down on myself for production, is when i am not writing music, AND not building anything else either. I need to be more busy than that, and that is one of the longstanding problems i have had with gainful employment in the past: how it affects my physical and mental schedule for building new things. Surely it is a failure of my own in this case for not having the heart/foresight to be able to make money doing something i find interesting. Probably should have gotten an engineering degree when i was young'n. Too bad i hate math.

Maybe we should have a forum where we " post ideas we have recorded recently" or something like that. Only allow senior members to view the forum or , if it makes things easier, forbid "guests" to view the forum.... I know we have the recording forum but cant anyone just go in there and listen?

I would deff post up some stuff.

I'd be down, I write random stuff all the time and could use some opinions. Also, more reason to record stuff without feeling the pressure to do all the shining.
