Wow, that TC Powercore card buggered my system so hard I'm reinstalling the OS, all my plugins, and Logic. Like fuuuuuuuuuuu

Well, I got my machine to not crash restarting with iBoot. I'm backing up the current mixes of my rekkid and a couple random mixes (Mike's stuff, etc.)- really the only things of value on there- wiping the drive and reinstalling. I figger if I really feel the need I can throw the card back in there running a previous version of the drivers- it is an older iteration, not the Powercore Mk II- and see if Logic starts shitting itself. I really would like to use it as it seems pretty fully loaded. I figure I'm not going to get any real work done tonight at this point anyhow. Everything else is already backed up in at least two separate places.

On the plus side, at least I didn't actually pay money for it.

It appears that any Logic session files I've opened tonight are Now Made Entirely Out Of Sodomy!

On the plus side, they are backed up several times on different machines, and were just sessions full of un-comped raw tracks that mostly led to me swearing at my machine profusely as I could't get the damn thing to stay stable enough to do any edits.

I spent an hour and a half forcefully backing up my computer (including all the plugin installers I kept on the hard drive for just such an occasion) only to have it crash hard when I ejected the backup disk!

Getting to work early can be very lame. At least I have coffee.

Up to Konetticutt for a one set gig that pay ridiculously well. (Well for one set) We are staying over since it's supposedly a very hedonistic gig/evening. Pillaging will be reported.

Just put Win7 on my PC... my backup drive is having issues with it for some reason.


But, a plus side is compared to XP my PC is about twice as fast and 7 sure does look nice.

7 is so much nicer than XP in every way.
