I should have been studied at the university level since before I was his age.

Fuck it, everyone's telling me that, but this time last year I already had a 2.5 gpa. I was a lazy fucker. The first grading period is over and I still have great grades. It's not that hard, all I have to do is keep doing my homework. When I do my homework, I learn more, and end up scoring high on the tests. Doing well in school is seriously not that hard.

When I look back I realise how little school grades mattered (other than getting the grades I needed to get me into higher education) and I'm glad I didn't spend all my time working and revising. Just sayin'

It's much harder to get into a good school nowadays, UCSD is rejecting people with 4.0's.

I didn't get into a "good" university (though I did have an awesome time) so yeah I guess maybe work a bit harder than I did

I was thinking about studying astronomy/astrophysics/possibly cosmology at UC Santa Cruz. Sounds perfect for me, laid back chill stoner vibe in a forest across the street from a beach. One thing I've always wanted to do was help humanity by planning colonies on Mars/the Moon for a further understanding of other worlds and to help acquire resources outside of Earth. maybe even start a separate human civilization on another planet. I really hope I can make it with music though. Also, as many of you know, I have an uncanny interest in psychedelics and have spent hours just researching them, it's a fascination of mine. So, if it becomes more mainstream and accepted, I'd love to become a psychedelic researcher/therapist and work at MAPS: http://www.maps.org/

Other things I'd enjoy include neuroscience, chemistry, psychology, and philosophy. maybe I can find a way to do all of those things, plus music.

Most difficult band member to find? I have found to be, first and foremost, *any* person who you can play with and write with without having to force a chemistry that just doesn't want to work for whatever reason. It is very difficult to build productive chemistry. I have found it impossible to build lasting chemistry. I am generally happy enough if i can get five good songs written with any group of people before we go our separate ways.

Otherwise:

1. A drummer who can play, owns and keeps in good condition his own equipment, and who is not an unreliable/inconsistent painintheass, or

2. A GOOD bass player who actually wants to (and can) play BASS, and is not just a guitarist who would rather that you needed three guitars instead of one bass.

In my experience, they exist, but it is nearly impossible to get them to commit for extended periods of time. It is like you trade awesomeness for temporariness.






An aside: Can you believe that "temporariness" is a real word? What the fuck? No "epitomally", but "temporariness" is fine?! Who the fuck is in charge of this shit?
