Probably not. Or, rather, that you wouldn't want to. Really Fargin' Gigundous Squids tend to contain a lot of ammonium chloride to make them buoyant. Sailors and the like who've tried to eat them find the ammonia taste repulsive. I suppose that's one survival strategy if you want to keep things from eating you- "besides being gigantic and dangerous, I also taste like piss!" That's enough to stop me. Now, whales, they have an advantage that lets them nom all of these muffhuggers they'd like- whales have no taste buds. That's pretty well the only way, I'd think, to eat this giant piss-tasting faceshredding beast.



The beastseses are the best part of the ocean. That and the superheated thermal vents and the crushing pressure. Basically, everything that's super-ridiculous down there. But I suppose no one's perfect...
