I like to check my mixes while I'm on the go, so I load them into my MP3 player. For the MP3 player to not list them as 'Unknown' I need to put a band and album in the MP3 information. So to check this one mix of a band who has been getting a dirt cheap recording with lots of... editing... (and a bit of frustration too, from one of the band members) involved I jokingly named that batch of mixes 'They are hopeless without me'. Now on Monday they asked to hear one of the songs so I sent them it. Only now am I realizing that the 'album name' for that one MP3 is sort of like a secret message to them, and not a very flattering one. I are stupid.

I spent about five days traveling all over the place with my mom, a whirlwind tour for her of a bunch of her favorite eastcoast places. The leg of the journey that led out to Pennsylvania coincided most inconveniently with a ridiculous slush/snowstorm that had us at one point travelling all of a half of a mile along New York's bit of Route 84, in just shy of about three hours.

Otherwise, good journeys and a good Witch Party for my grandmother's 89th birthday. I wore a section of styrofoam orange pepper for a witch nose, a bit Monty Python-esque in execution, really.

Well, back now, and have just finished cutting up the last of about six quite large tree bits that the unexpectedly brutal snowstorm brought down.

Most of the places around here have been out of power for the last week or so. We didn't lose much food from spoiling in the fridge, so i suspect that this house was only out for a relatively short time, maybe a day or two. Blinking clocks indicate that we definitely lost it though.

Shit actually looks a fair bit worse than Irene around here, in contrast to that, which left only evidence of perhaps a disgruntled force, it actually looks like something Violent passed through here this time.

Chris, do you own a snowmobile?

Nah dawg, i don't have any of that sort of recreational vehicles. I would have to travel a couple hours north or west to have much chance to use them anyhoo.

My snowtoy was always my car back in the day. These days though, i have been piloting a fucking auto trans station wagon about, so not even that.

I r very excited for my interview tomorrow. I've been given a good briefing by my mates who work there, one actually does the same role as I'm going for so I have a pretty good idea of the questions I'll be asked. I'm well prepped and ready to rawk. I think this could well be the one

In other news I just felt like mentioning how unavoidable sleep is on the bus and inaccessible in my own bed.

That's why I like benadryl. Helps me doze of quickly, and as an added bonus lets me avoid listening to my roommate.

Does anyone have an old demo of mine, "Silence Is The Loudest Sound Of All" or something along those lines? Doesn't matter whether it has vocals or not. I remember those. Lost in a hard drive failure and it was not archived. (I remember Mr. Tom commenting on it some long time ago on Tonesettings.)

Yeah, it's long expired. There were two versions, one with vocals, one without. I am planning some other projects to fill my time including a solo record, and I... well, I want to use that as the base for something but I don't remember how to play the guitar parts. And the guitars on it were cool, too.
