I don't remember you mentioning her before. This also got passed along to the Relevant Authorities. I love how overtly theatrical her vocals are. And she tears it up on her Tele- I was instantly taken by the guitar tone in the first video. It appears she has a Youtube channel full of stuff? This warrants further investigation. I think she's spiffy.

Yeah, she has a guitar sound that i like/have liked forever: tele + AC30 + couple random pedals(+ and old favorite of mine that she also seems to utilize: crowther hotcake, as a fuzz). And she can actually play which lends the thing an interesting sort of power, while highlighting the unfortunate fact that too often female fronted bands don't really allow their singers to exercise much power. This one is clearly the captain of this fucking ship though. Kind of get a Jeff Buckley vibe from the live stuff, though less anything-goes improv than that.

At first i was not into her vocals at all, because it is so obviously not her "real" voice, but over time they have grown on me for what they are, as you said: theatre.

Positive. I liked it, not all of it clicks (which is common for me) but there are a few songs that already have my full attention and approval. There are some interesting textures on this bitch for sure.

Actually that disc is one of the main reasons i decided i should own a phaser, and specifically a Small Stone-style one. Really in general, there are a lot of pedals on that thing, but they way they are used is actually pretty efficient and well-executed.

Oh, also, the dude runs his guitar through the MicroKorg on some of the tunes as well. Like (if i recall correctly) the synthy bits of Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind, The Bold Arrow Of Time, and a few other spots also.

That was probably it. Yeah, the effects sounds are pretty great. Lots of sweet stereo stuff going on.

What, how to use the Korg? You just put the guitar into the thing's input(i think he uses a splitter or something?) and use the effects of the thing. So, not really a guitar synth, but access to some pretty nice phasers, flangers, digidelays, filters, and panning shit.

Most of the guitar on that thing though, seems to be a combo of: 1. Small Stone plus Dynacomp-set-to-slam, for the cleanish guitars, and 2. a Fuzzface and Fuzzfactory for various fuzzy sounds and random blazzowzles.
