It's 64 degrees right now and supposed to be 73 tomorrow. What the fuck? It's February. Normally there would be 6 inches of snow on the ground and the temperature would be in the teens.

I'm not complaining, but I am confused.

Indeed it a warm day here in Myrtle Beach. Sunny and in the 70's.

This winter has been awesome. It isn't as warm as you doods have, but it is still something like 55º today, which is properly above normal. And i haven't had to really shovel anything aside from that freakblizzardicestorm thing that we had way the fuck back in October.

I love it.

But I thought climate change was a myth propagated by the lib'rul media to steal our freedom to worship Jebus? :idk:

It's been in the 40s the past few days, and there's not a hint of snow to be found. All told, there's probably been at most a week, total, with significant snow on the ground in the city proper all winter.

Just kind of blasted that together somewhat uncarefully. But still, it kind of has a nice "1970s loud musical equipment manufacturer" sort of vibe to it, i think. The lower case "d" fits in better than the capital one did next to the tri-moon jibjab, and in general it looks pretty solid and generally good.

The only thing i am less into is the way the letters don't have much separation between bodies and fiddly bits on the "engineering" bit. I like the shapes, but wish that font was just a little different in how it handled its separations.

Maybe something like this then, similar idea, just a different typeface:

:idk:

Worth looking into anyhow, perhaps?

Also, i would like to point out, that i was poasting the previous poast before i saw that you had poasted another version. It just took me a few minutes to get my pictars uploaded and my IMG links sorted out correctly. :red:

I think your new one is better, but still has a bit of a "letter cram" going on with the big word in it. It is definitely better than the old one though, in my opinion.

Thanks for the input dood. We're kind of stuck with the aspect ratio we've got (well, for now anyway) which makes things tricky.

I like the font here. The c's do it for me. And you can change the kerning easily enough, which'll fix the letter cram.

I could chime in with something when I get back from rehearsal?

The kerning could be fixed, but not much can be done about the way the descenders all come back around and smush into the bodies of their own letters. On the one hand, the letters all have that nice roundness that echoes the moonshapes, but they do get a little overly clunky in the finer points.

The "dcc" part is definitely the best bit of it, and definitely because of those pacman "c"s, and the better way a lowercase "d" slots into the graphic. I might be inclined to retain those and just use a different font for the "engineering" bit.

None of it matters if that isn't a direction of typeface style that Zozo wants for his bidness. :idk:

As for the aspect ratio, if it has to stay, you don't necessarily have to use all of it either:

I fucking love that bike.

I can't decide if I want to turn my single speed into a 3 speed. Myrtle Beach is 90% flat so I really don't need to many options and I do like having less parts to potentially break, but sometimes a few gear options would come in handy. I purposely got a really simple bike (from wal-mart) with the intent to modify it and work on it a bunch. Unfortunately, not a damn thing has broken on it yet so I haven't had the need to do any work. The frame is heavy (no surprise there) but solid so it seems to be a pretty solid template for a first project bike. My ultimate goal is to turn it into something pretty similar to what you have.

I am currently riding ~10 miles a week, which is nothing from when I was riding to work which was about ~50-70 miles a week.
