 POLL: Cow print tolex?
Of course, there's always this, which might be even more betterer: I, for one, would think a pair of cow print 4x12s would be proper ridiculous.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
I am completely all for such mapcoverings. I actually feel that the weber one could be even more cow-like than it is.
The other one is glorious, but i might actually prefer a guitar (shreddy/floydy) in that finish, than a cab. Put them together however, and you are basically an eighties GIT student.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Agreed- less splotchy, larger patches. It still reads as "cow" though, I think. That being said, with point #2 I think it's more the color than its bovine-ness that does it re: the whole GIT thing. The yellow and fluorescent pink guitar + garish cabs does kinda imply there's a modded Marshall or a large pile of rack gear and shredly lixx involved.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
As an aside, i would oh so completely rock the everliving FUCK out of a maplifier/cab that was SHAPED as a fullsized(or larger than) flourescent pink cow or bull. That would be amazing.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Also, i think this is real too(though this particular image looks a bit "shoppy") : But for sure, that is the concept. Probably have to be made out of carbon fiber or something, the cabs designed like studio monitaurs. Actually, on that note, studio monitaurs shaped as minotaurs would be godamned glorious as fuck as well.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
I wonder which bovine pose would make the most optimal shape for a studio monitaur?

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Also, as an aside, this, in Armed Zeppelin form, would be a somewhat more than acceptable general transportation option:

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Possibly the "lounging on its side" style. Though potentially the legs themselves could be fashioned out of a different (and shockabsorbing) material than the cabinet, and utilized to isolate the cab from the surface it was placed upon. Kind of like a slicker, cowier, version of these;

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
All of those are fantastic. Minotaur monitaurs would be pretty excellent. The cow speaker is real. Not listed on their web store though, sadly. http://lovabledesign.blogspot.com/2012/03/milky-collection-by-young.htmlThe headless dog speaker thing is just plain fucked-up. A pair of those onstage would look excellent, gotta say.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
That totally works. Needs a couple machine guns in the basket and a Tesla coil mounted underneath.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Especially, if you had a full four or eight of them to make a half- or full- cab's worth of them. Just kind of all over the stage. Or, alternately, arranged as if encircling the drummer (or bassist, or other bandmember of choice) in a menacing manner.

I'll get all my amps covered in a pig-version of this for when I tour with Bacon Down South.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
I was thinking face them at the audience, perhaps next to the drummer as if mastiffs alongside his throne. But that works too. It's not as if the drummer's going to be going anywhere. I looked it up- they're $900 for a pair, take 180w RMS. So even in stock form they're feasible. Though underpowered for bass and you'd probably want to put a proper guitar speaker in there for, well, guitar. Still...

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
We should find out what they are made of and make a headless cow/bull version. The dogs look like maybe an 8" speaker? Poooosssibly a 10? I figure a fullsized cow or bull should fit a 12" or a 15" in the neck, eh? I do like the dog concept though. I would cram four or so into a large dog kennel on wheels and thusly transport them to and from gigplaces.

 Re: POLL: Cow print tolex?
Sounds about right for the size. With the cow or bull, I'd still want to have the horns on there if I could.
If possible, the dogcabs should have a dedicated roadie.
