I actually found a sachet of instant cappuccino in the back of the cupboard. Not out of date yet so it's fair game

I have cabinets full of food and a well stocked refrigerator but there is absolutely nothing in this house to eat. How the fuck does that happen.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Then make some with what you have kicking around, bitch. Gigging in Rochester tomorrow. Let's see how much of a colossal clusterfuck this turns out to be. The venue- which apparently does not suck- was double-booked by the owner's daughter. There's the industrial show at 8- who goes to a show at 8 on a Saturday? It's still daylight fer chrissakes- and then there's a jam band and a whiteboy hiphop act at 12. Rather than making the best of it and having an early and a late show, whomever is in charge has decided the whole thing's one big show and the money gets split six ways. Let's hope these guys draw... Now, our show has an official afterparty at another club at 12, too, and AFAIK I'm the only one from our band who's even sticking around for that, and no one gets paid 'til 2 when the other show is done. Sometimes I think moving gear is the worst part of gigging. And then I remember there's dealing with people involved. I am not usually the one to do this, mercifully. Usually.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I will see if I can send some friends to yore party. I know a few folks up there that love music. I will check FB Garda for the club.
Lugging gear is shit. I have a gig tomorrow in Boston, oh Damn I should have said this earlier.... How from Beantown are you Chris? We're playing the Harp. It's alike a 4.5 hour trip so we're staying over, bringing my chick and making a mini vacation.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Sunovabatch. I am not far from the city(15-20 min, depending on traffic) BUT my dad is flying in tonight and we will be celebrating his birthday on tomorrow/Sunday. (His brifay is actually today(which of course is also Bastille Day, so like, now is the time to fire up yer celebratin' guillotines, folks!)) Originally he was going to head straight down to Cape Cod on arrival and spend the weekend playing golf with his brother(which would have meant i would be free to do whatever) but he decided later to spend that time with my sister and i here instead, so i don't know if i am going to be able to get into boston for your sunday show. The Harp, is that directly across the street from the TD Garden? Aslo, what time is your show? Aslo aslo, is this the GnR band?

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I believe we go on at 10. Yeah it's across from the Garden I think, 85 Causeway. Not the GnR band it's the dancey dancey band.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
My sleeping schedule is so fucking weird and normal lately. It has been like four straight of weeks of family summervacation/visits. My dad for a week, my mom for the next week, my sister and her 5-year-old the week after, and now my dad again for another week.
I guess it is nice to see as much sunlight as this. I must admit to feeling at the moment slightly more healthy than i did earlier in the year. It may very well be coincidental, but it is interesting to me.
I do kind of miss the proper reverse night/day thing though. This may however be one of the only times in my life, where being awake 'like people do' hasn't made me want very badly to suicide. I wonder if that is just because i am accelerating my transformation into an eighty-year-oldman. Next up, white orthopedic sneakers for doing my walking at 5AM in the local mall? I can't rule that out at this point. This is a whole (strange, terrifying) new world.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Dancey like what sort of stuffs? My dad definitely wouldn't have been down for GnR. And depending on what type, it might be hard to get him down for dance stuff either. But give me some idea of what flavour, and i will see what i can see. Because it is a little silly for you to play this close, and for me not to be able to get there. But that may be how it goes this time.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
My dad like some oddish music for his age. Like indie rock, mathrock. Oh, and standard goodstuff from his yout like Hendrix and James Gang, and some jazz.
He is pretty hip for a dude born in '53, the only things he isn't too much into are like hair metal(actually most non-Sabbath metals), properly dancey dance music, and his most epic enemy: Bollywood film music. Which he hates so purely that i was actually a little impressed by his the degree of tortured rage. Something about the specific high pitch of the traditional Indian female lead vocals just cuts directly through his skull i guess. It is like his kryptonite.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I may have a gig doing FOH for my friends' industrial (straight-up dance industrial) band. They play out a fucktonne and are good. I have no problem with this at all. I know them all save for the guitarist outside the band, too, and have no problem with their company. The singer and keyboardist especially are total sweethearts. I can be That Asshole for them.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Evidently, the fine people of Boston think it's a great idea to use helicopters to move monstrous air conditioners on and off roofs of large buildings at 8:00 in the morning after I play a gig and need some drunk sleep. 2 or 3 of these big ass helicopters up and down next to my building for 2 hours. I was going to kill.

Helicopter pilots are pricks. They are really only one-upped by fighter pilots in their general being-a-cock-ness. Except that there are a lot more helicopter pilots around here.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Was bad for me, but I think worse for my chick. She finally decided to come up to Boston, we left the kids with my mom, so she also got hammered, we have a nice King bed with lots of room and this asshole is fwapfwapfwapping his device of torture at 8 am. She was ready to kill as well.
Good thing about the trip is they serve bloody marys on the ferry on the way back to LI. Delicious.
