As an aside, i have started to add the admittedly obnoxious ", son." to most sentences uttered in the direction of my sister/housemate lately. Largely of course, because of the intense degree to which she HATES it.

The unfortunate downside, you can see clearly enough above, is that it is beginning to creep into somewhat more normal use as well. Not really a wonderful development...

Still, it might all be worth it, because of how greatly it annoys her.

When i was young(like 12-13) i made a book of fake advertisements that included a tapeworm obesity cure. I had no idea at the time, that it was actually a thing. In History.

When i found, a whole pile of years later, that such a cure-all was actually marketed before, i became an odd mixture of happy and sad.

I like how in this one, "NO BATHS" is a selling point. We all know how distasteful bathing is.

I would also love to see the actual product, like how it would have shipped out, back in the day proper. Would it have been a clear jar? Would they be like sardines?
