There's some sort of meditative quality to taking your dog for a walk, smoking a personal doobie and listening to some tunes in good headphones. Smoking in the forest am bast.

I fear for such a situation to be upon me one day.. I never want to move away from Washington for a permanent amount of time. Truly, one of the best places to be a pothead. Most lenient MMJ laws and some tasty ass marijuanaz . Soon, I will have to share with the members here who give a shit a little outdoor grow one of my buddies did up on his back porch. Super minimal setup and maintenance, used basic garden soil and one cheap nutrient during flowering and he yielded some gnarly and fairly purple G13. The seeds' genetics are unstabilized so it yielded both sativa and indicia dominant phenotypes. The indica one has a really strong purps taste and the buds are super dense. Considering it was grown outdoors is pretty nutsy, but it was a freak summer here. Hot as balls, something like 50 days without rain.

I would grow if I weren't in the Bible Belt and it didn't take so long.

It's my marijuana and I want it now!

Post Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
After a couple of weeks jamming the Lil Night Train through the 2x10, I have to say it is a sound that very much accommodates what I hear in my head. I am not sure if it is the bright amp with small(er) speakers of the fact that my guitar is inherently pretty treblecentric. Just the bridge position can be kinda thin, but the middle position is EXACTLY what I like in rhythm guitar tone that isn't.. REALLY gain-y. Then the middle position sounds a little funny, it's a little too punchy in a weird way. Not enough crispy gnarness around the edges. But for clean to midgain stuff it is the perfect amount of aggressive lowmid punchy attackness whilst retaining a lovely jangle, AND it is clear as all fuck (whilst in bright mode, thick mode is a very different sound). I am sort of beginning to realize what are "my sounds" I think.

THE ONLY PROBLEM HERE. Is that I am going to need more volume. Not a ton, just something that can get real loud and clean when I want it to. The LNT will stick around as I dig the sounds it makes, but I think it is going to need a big brother soon-ish.. Thus begins the process of addressing this problem. :red: I am not even sure what I want. Would I be equally happy with something more Marshall-y (and probably easier to acquire/maybe cheaper)? There's a lot of cool amps out there, I just had no idea which of them's for me. I just know that where I have the amp dialed (but really more the the tone of it in general) is pretty much the kind of tone I want. I will attempt a nicenice recording tomorrow, I think.. And see if you guys can't think of anything to say to me about this. :red:

If you like the LNT, you might just want a bigger Vox. Then you can get Vox tones at reasonable volume with the LNT, and Vox tones with a drummer with the AC15.

Because an AC15 does not sound as nice at LNT volumes, and the LNT simply doesn't get that loud.

Or go crazy and get an AC30. Those fuckers love to be loud.

source: I owned the LNT and own an AC15.

Well I think our dog is on his very last legs. He had a massive seizure this morning, seems ok now if a bit disorientated. The vet said to leave him be for now and if it happens again then its probably best to have him put down :( Being woken up by your mum shouting and crying because she thinks the dog is dying is not the best way to start your day :red:

losing a pet blows. More so with dogs. They always seem to get closer to people. Cats are more like.. "yeah feed me then fuck off...."

Fuck that, my cats and I are super close. Geoffrey is sitting on my lap right now, sleeps on our bed with us at night and likes playing around. He doesn't show that kind of affection with everyone who walks in the door (like a lot of dogs would). Misty even more so. At our old apartment, if I walked out the back door to go the pharmacy next door Misty would actually sit and howl (yes a cat howling) at the door until I came back. Even when Barbara was home. If I was gone too long she would run to Barbara for affection.

Cats can be just as close to their owners as dogs.

That said, losing a pet sucks no matter what, be it a mouse, a bird, a lizard, a cat or a dog.

This is probably the most logical approach.. Now I just have to find an AC15 head.. :dukes:

Poast up some proper clips of the thing doing what you want it to. Dev is moast likely correct though. AC15 can be pretty loud, and is generally pretty bright and angry about it all. As long as you don't want too much clean from it, it should be plenty loud for drummerplaying.

What Chris said. The AC30 is almost too loud, especially in NMV configuration. (I so want to say "conflagration" ) Greenbacks tame it somewhat with their inefficiency. (The classic Blues are surprisingly efficient despite their low power handling.) Of course, your Fender-flavored 2x10 is a different flavor than either. And I like the little bit I've heard so far.

Having done the 15w thing before, it is plenty do-able with a drummer. In a Vox, you may be burning through EL84s if you do this a lot? But they're cheap comparatively. You'll probably have zero headroom and be backing off the guitar's volume for clean. There's a decent amount of tonal variation on that side of the volume control, too.

Yarr, i wouldn't expect much more than the four to six months of EL84 life per pair that i got when i was running a 15w-ish EL84 map at proper volume/dirt levels.

Of course, this is why i like alternate powertube Vox-like maps instead, but they are a little different flavour. As a hobo though, i do generally prefer almost any octal power tube to the 84s, for their comparative longevity. Running the EL84s in a head (versus a combo) will help a little, but then again that is how i was running them when i was getting 4-6 months max from a pair. :idk:

If you have the money to feed them to the thing though, they do have a unique character to them, 'specially for dirtcleans.

I love my AC15, I am probably going to bust it out today for some riffing. And if you keep the LNT you can reserve the AC15 for louder jams so you don't wear the tubes so quickly.

EDIT: Also, you can get AC15s for not a lot of money.

I've had/have both. This doesn't seem to be the case for me but my cats were strays, they are very affectionate, not not as much as my dogs. Your does seem much more than mine. My cats have always kinda seemed like a really hot chick. Even if they're male.

Yeah I adopted Misty and Geoffrey at 6 and 4 months old respectively, so they have grown up with me.
