I don't know why, but at the moment this seems to me to be the most ideal maps camping/fieldtrip arrangement. I wonder if they would let us do that at that waffle eaters nude beach.

We lost power for about 24 hours. Cell phone reception is fuckers\d, but somehow our lights are on, I'm not even sure how, I have pics I will upload tomorrow, it was trylu fucked up here, but we have lights AND tv. (thankfully for the kids) I don't watch it, but they do.

Yarr, we lost power here from about 5PM last night to about 11AM this morning. Obviously my sister/housemate took off to the boyfriend's house asap(he had power, plus a generator if shit went out). Anyhow, it wasn't too bad; i was half-expecting it, so the fridge was empty and the freezer was kind of packed with icepacks and shit so stuff in there would hold for a bit.

We didn't lose many branches at all. Trees down in the area, but none i had to take care of personally.

The main bad thing was when i was going out to get some halloween candy(which i intend to, in normal halloween tradition for me, eat, myself, in the near-dark tomorrow night(if someone rings the bell i will give them candy, but otherwise, it is all my fucking candy)).

For it was then, as i cleaned pine needles off the thing,that i noticed this, which fucking sucks:



Hopefully insurance won't give us any guff in fixing that back to proper.

oh damn... My house was fine, but we trimmed up all my trees later year. My mom had a huge tree fall within inches of the house (part of the pics I will upload tomorrow) and I helped a neighbor clear a tree off of his shed which was a very big tree as well.

We didn't get shit here. We got some rain and some wind, no worse than usual this time of year. I am glad the rest of youse guyse (so far) seem to have made it through alright.

I just got back from the session. I am beat to fuck. Everyone's gear was fucking up, too. My drummer's sampler, a bunch of the studio gear (including the SSL console and one of the API preamps), any guitar amp I played through was humming like a sonofabitch (AC30, Matchless HC30, Bogner Ecstasy), Ken The 's bass rig, etc. Even the Protools sessions I brought from home were fucked up- half my synth tracks were missing, and we wound up using the clicks (our drummer is very particular about his clicks) off a flash drive from our live rig. Weird shit. I don't know if anything came out decent or not; I'm too tired to tell. It can wait.

Well, tonight I am going to walk through downtown Seattle dressed up as Teen Wolf, smoking ALL the joints ever. I don't think this could possibly go wrong in any way.

That is a good question. Looked like a shitload of water in the subway system, i wonder how anyone in Manhattan gets anywhere right now. Must be a parking lot clusterfuck of people trying to drive or walk from point a to point b right now. The subway is kind of really what allows that city to even function at all, IMO. There are just too many people to do it any other way.

Me as well, actually. No candy though, just caffeine. And not much food.

Actually i am starting to think that food is part of my problem maybe. Maybe something i ate is trying to fight me from the inside or something. Normally a little sugar and a little coffee won't mess me up, but i am feeling kind of like shit right now. Maybe i am just generally getting sick.

hmm so I just found out my parents are splitting up. Not really sure how to feel about this at the minute other than its probably time for me to move out from ye olde family home.

You know what? I like Halloween just fine.

My problem here is, i don't like children. It is difficult for me to give them candy that is really, rightfully, mine.

They should be grateful they're not working in the factories or the mines where Captains Of Industry can exploit their smallness.

We are getting a ton of trick-or-treaters this year. Not so many that I've had to resort to giving them random foodstuffs from around the house, but Ms. Jen is not home this evening, so an emergency resupply is unpossible. There are plenty of freshly grown tomatoes and jalapeño peppers, though, and Jen has some duck and swordfish in the freezer.

Here, kids: have hot peppers and unusual meat.

Hmm, next year i might go for a tray of assorted canned meats for the little wretches.

Well, i will say this, once that first group of kids old enough to shave rings the bell, The Evening Of Free Candy Is Over.
