Heh, arranging a medley of Out of Gas and Heart Cooks Brain by Modest Mouse. This will be proper fun and easy to record, I am thinking.

Trems: My Strat has a two point American trem and it stays in tune just fine. Of course, its blocked with 4 springs and I don't use it as I currently don't have a trem arm(anyone have a spare?). Staying in tune, I think, is the combination of a good bridge, smooth nut and saddles, and quality tuners.

Tele: Wouldn't be my Tele, but definitely lovable

I have never since the Squier I rented when I first started learning had a guitar that stays in tune when the whammy gets wiggled. Currently I have a guitar with a licensed Floyd and another with a Wilkinson.

I'll throw out there I have five springs in my Strat. 10-52 or 11-52 depending on my mood and it doesn't float at all. Graphite saddles, stock nut. IIRC Chris's does float a bit. He might have 9s on there? (I know it's 11s on his Lesters, but I think it's 9-42 on the Strat and PRS.) He has the LSR roller nut (stock was a Wilkinson roller nut, which sucked, so he swapped it out for what Fender currently uses.) Neither of us abuse the whammy seriously though.

you need to do a proper floyded fiddle then. My ibanez Rg550 and my LP I can seriously hold by the bar, yank them up and down and they return to perfect pitch. I have been surprised that I have not pulled the bar out or snapped them.

Took a day off and pretty much watched all the second season of the walking dead. Now I'm not tired and its sort of bed time. May need to go on a midnight ride to burn off some energy.

I do love a spot of late night riding when there are no cars about. Managed a pretty sweet bus draft too. Not a PB but I clocked a good 33 mph for a mile without putting in a great deal of effort.

Sipping on a beer, listening to the music on my soundclicks & soundcloud accounts. I feel like I was better at programing drums at a different era in my life.

Same here. Back in the day before softsynths, I was a bad mofo drum programmer. Since I was doing mostly metal/industrial-metal (I always emphasized the metal part of the drums), very intricate. and serious about making them sound as convincingly real- including nudging stuff off the grid- as I could given the limited late '90s tech (Boss, Alesis, EMU) I had to work with. I've gotten lazy in my old age. And spoiled by a couple really good realdrummers. I can barely be bothered these days, at least for rockstuff.

haha I also feel I used to be way better at programming drums. Now most of the time I just cannot be arsed to sit there and try it, and it's one of the main reasons I have loads of riffs/tracks written that won't get recorded into demos just because I cannot be arsed with it. Plus I can never get the drums to fit my riffs now.

Since Chris from Garda is gonna be out of town and unavailable 'til after Thanksgiving (lucky bitch is gonna be in Prague for a while, too...) I am back to working on my rekkid as I'm stuck in recording mode lately. I have three songs worth of re-done bass to comp down before I can go remap all the bass tracks. I want live drums, but I fear it will delay the thing forever.
