I have no idea yet, I've been loading up files to dropbox from the home computer and smoking weed/eating much to my dismay. I will try to bring up the sessions once I on the other computer and see if it asks me for them. If it doesn't work, I've written down all the times where they sit in the song. Shouldn't be too bad, but enough to make me remember not to do that again, I think.

Aslo, Reaper's RPP file should keep track of all of the things, tempos, spacing, etc. The main thing when moving projects around, is that the audio files for a project are in the same folder as the RPP file, otherwise you will need to manually show Reaper where to find shit when it pops up a warning that files are missing, which is okay for one or two files but shittay for stacks of files.

Asloaslo, if your RPP has metronome shit set, it should show up properly in the new computer when you open the RPP, as well.

Reaper works great and everything, and files loaded up fine and everything, but it won't actually play them..? And when it did (before I shut it down and reopened it) it was fucked up noise like dialup sort of. It records shit just fine, but the old files from that shit won't play..

Or maybe it DOESN'T record so well, it showed the mics were working and records normal looking waveforms but on playback they are all fucked up.. THE FUCK.

Snaxie - I am really tempted to try a snaxfx albeit I don't have that type of money right now. I might be able to sell one of my far too many axes and get an 11R. But the snax seems the way to go if I can swing it, it is at least twice the price of the 11R. The recording/playback is fucked up. When I render the files they are schfuckered as well. I am going to check tomorrow if it's the USB cable, because from what (Devin and) I gathered shit's going wrong BEFORE it gets to the laptop. I don't think it's the USB cord, but it might be. I will see if it works with the computer I've been using up until now. But right now, it is much more necessary that I smoke marijuana and eat Cinnabon ice cream, I threw my mental fits for the day. Hmm, that is some kind of fucked up. The Reaper forums might be the best bet. Maybe some sort of fucked up juju in the difference between how windows writes a wav, and how mac does? Are you running both in the same bit depth? (meaning 32 bit or 64 bit, or whateverthefuck)

It just seems likely that there is some wonky setup thing that needs tweakamerizing. I/o shit can get wonky as all getout when something is slightly wrong set.

They are both macs though, I am afraid.. Had 64-bit running on both computers.

I suppose the night is not all lost, I just wrote a particularly fun bassline that will probably be it's own short song with my in-the-making signature treatment of sloppy/roomy sounding percussion with mildly pitchy and often yelled vocals. I've so many goddamn songs I could just churn out without a drummer, 'tis why I am kinda super fucking pissed about this recording shit.

As a side note: It is also always disappointing when one forgets just how much they hate consuming food that is rich in flavor and heavy in fats or sugar. Ice cream SOUNDS like a really good idea, but in the end it is just too much nasty shit that my body doesn't want.

I, as well! Though these days, lyrics tend to be any bits of words kicking around in my head that exemplify how bonkers I am in their honesty, so I am almost always writing lyrics. I'm always plugging away phrases or song titles I like in my Blackberry. I had to get a new phone and I still use it (deactivated in terms of service) as a note taking device.

This. There's a very delicious local restaurant I'll go to maybe once a year, and even the meatless (though decidedly not vegan, what with all the dairy) things on the menu are like goddamn and I will regret it. I tend to feel similarly about pizza, too, which is somewhat shocking seeing I probably spent my early 20s living almost exclusively on that, double mochas (full of heavy cream and chocolate, with whipped cream on top) and vodka. How I stayed skinny I really have no idea.

There's a spiced potato thing that I make (that basically involves seasoning the fuck out of sliced potatobits with roughly everything under the sun and roasting them for an aeon) that I've done up using olive oil since time immemorial, but recently I switched it up to Earth Balance ('s a veggie butter) as all that olive oil was just too much to take in the quantities I'd make/serve it. Being single and not-giving-a-fuck, and the sort of person who forgets to eat for a day, I'd make and consume mass quantities. As likely as not to be served with chili containing much jalapeño, chipotle or habañero- funny, that; I'll eat all that damn habañero and be fine. Olive oil? World of pain. I tend to like my grains and my legumes and my vegeables (this is how it is spell'd ) and they treat me kindly in return.

I like some meats, particularly more lean ones. Beef is often quite unappetizing to me, though nomming down Dick's ( ) is something I can't deny pretty much every time. One of the many fine things about living in Washington, best burgers. The cheeseburgers just cheese, ketchup and mustard and not super greasy, fucking delicious.
