I think I have a Western Digital in my main box. I've had good experience with Seagate though. Much to Chris's disappointment, i do have an Hitachi external. Or is it Samsung? Something not quite as desirable. But it received decent reviews, and is USB 3.

I only mention them because i have seen two die at inopportune times.

Three Maxtors though. I don't know why i kept buying them, though i suspect that it might have been budget-driven.

Back to working on an acoustic project along with the electric things. There's still a call for it here for decent money. Live scene sucks here on LI that why we spend so much time on the road but acoustic seems to do ok, and a nigga needs some money...

Heh yeah that looks annoying. Even less like a community forum area thing and more like an extension of Musician's Friend.

They were close to doing a lot of things right with the new format, but really ended up fucking the whole thing up.

It is less readable, constricts the posting space, limits the avatars (they are also tiny) and requires mod approval to change them, censors foul language, puts too much shit around each post and in general has way too much shit going on.

It is however, a lot faster. So with a few alterations to the aesthetics and usability it would actually be a damn fine upgrade.

They have been wanting to make those changes over there for ages now. After the fail of 2.0, it was only a matter of time before they worked their way back to it.

It would be less quiet if more of them posted after signing up. They mostly make a hello post referencing their HC moniker then never make another peep. I think it is our stylistically "odd" sense of humor that makes the board seem much more esoteric than it is. I would welcome a lot more conversations on here even if they don't fit the classic Maplitonian archetypal posts.

I know, moast of you dudes want moar aspects of the timekillin' nature of HC for this place. My own timekillin' requirements are a bit different, as you could guess from what kind of nonsense i find useful/interesting.

I haven't had anything in common with HC for years now. The good ones like TOS, but also the uber idiots for them to brawl with, retired from forum battle, and all that was left were a bunch of copy/paste morons, and really subpar dipshits and subpar trolls, one badly manufactured "epic blowout" thread after another, or at the other end of the spectrum, basically just TGP in cargo shorts.

You could probably get them to come here if you really wanted to though. They would certainly bring the posting numbers up, anyhow.

Oh I am not suggesting any sort of effort to bring them here, I just find it funny that they come here and leave because we are "too slow" without contributing anything.
