I'm betting it works. I've done similar to keep stuff from drying out, or added water to things I was reheating in the microwave. Never pizza, but that's because I don't put it in the microwave unless I'm in a complete hurry to get out the door.

I read through that and sent it to a couple people. There's stuff in there I've done before, and from that alone it all looks like useful shit.



As an aside, a friend of mine and I once had an idea for a Macrowave, which would of course be extremely inefficient, using very long waves, perhaps infrasound. The Macrowave would be roughly the size of, say, a high school gym. It bombards the target foodstuff with some sort of extremely long wavelength waves, consuming tremendous amounts of power.

I think the Macrowave would be a tremendous boon to Maplitonian culture were it introduced.

This. Would be great for each of us to have an arena out the back of our abodes, people looking at it and explaining "yeah, I macrowave my pizza in thur... so it's not soggy"

With 55 gallon drums full of water, of course.

Even better if it doesn't work worth a damn. "Yeah, I put my pizza in the Macrowave, I get some water shipped in, and a few hours later, it's room temperature!"; meanwhile, the thing is shaking the ground in the immediate vicinity.

Blasting it with 8hz waves loud enough to kill a man must do something, right?
