This is a thing now? I suppose it's no different than rap metal back in the '90s. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. Funny, as I like electronic music and metal, and I like me a cheesy pop song too; there's just something too earnest youngperson about it that I didn't connect with even when I was younger. And something a bit hairmetal about it. I like my glam to not wear its heart on its sleeve but embrace artifice.

Also, I strongly dislike the vocals. I'm a curmudgeon when it comes to rock vocals though, and stuck in the '90s there, so feel free to disregard my opinion on that front. In general, I dislike almost every loudrock vocalist younger than I am.

Word, that Entombed one is way weak.

All covers of it suck so far. I just don't get it. The original is so chaotic and loose and sharp around the edges with that awesome dissonant skronk riff through the verses, and all of those crazy drum/guitar locked-in bits, that aren't really locked in tooooo tightly, just enough to hold together barely. The fucking framework is so very much there. I don't get how people screw up by covering it, and deciding to ignore so many of the things that make it so awesome.
