 Re: The Chris Thread
This seems very safe: Makes sense to me: Brilliant: I think more old ladies should carry automatic rifles on the subway: Overall, seems classy.

 Re: The Chris Thread
It is interesting. Beveled edges all kinds of places inside where i wouldn't expect them. I wonder if it is more of a convenience of manufacture method( like the things are machined/lathed rather than rolled/pressed as i guess i was assuming) or if it is one of those developed shape sorts of things that develops over years and years of making a thing for a purpose(like mayhap burning powder fires move quicker along a curved corner surface) or indeed if it is a combination of a bunch of things perhaps including bofe. They do make classy graphic design elements this way too. Which for some reason i couldn't place, reminded me of this, which is a visualization of pandemic spreading data, from the Place For The Corralling Of Historical Fact thread: But going there to find it showed me why, as apparently some part of my brain remembers putting this one directly after it: Which i guess just happens to be the way my skull functions.

 Re: The Chris Thread
Nice work, Black Sabbath. That's rather clever, actually. I should listen to that record. I haven't yet. I have no idea if it's any good.

http://avhguitarrepair.com/the-meshuggah-guitar-archive/the-meshuggah-guitar-archive-basses/Scroll down to near the bottom to czech out the bass Tomas Haake built himself from scratch. Including the neck. Seems he's a fine woodworker.

More 'heads' than cabs: I think this was a recent Yngwie gig.

Possibly worst band photo ever. This popped up on my feed this morning. Yes this is real. also, town they are playing in is Mastic, not Masic. but then, look up info on Mastic, NY. Worst town on LI.

Amazing band photo. It should have a firebird decal on its hood.

Bitchin' Camero. Re: Geoff's Yngwie photo, I have heard apparently his shit at least is hooked up and real, the cabs at least, and that he has preposterous stage volume. I like also if there's a bass rig onstage it's not even visible.

 Re: The Chris Thread
Nice. Richard Dawkins actually mentioned this device in the book of his I read recently. Or an early version thereof from the '50s. He actually found it disturbing, a device whose only function is to turn itself off. I, of course, think it's adorable.

 Re: The Chris Thread
An Actual Way that they advertised Boston: "Interestingly Different" is a classic bit that smacks to me something of lifelemonade-making or something on the part of the council behind this tour guide. It is right up there with my own town's bumper stickers of a couple years back: "Burlington: How Nice." Which are actually real, and which you can actually see on cars around here, and in manners which lead me to believe that the bumper applications were not even partly ironic. I wonder if the stickers are still available from the town. I wonder if that is still the town's slogan. I hope so on both counts.
