I have always loved the way they are a "talking" band, but know not to do it every song, or even every other song, but rather put something concise, maybe every ten or more songs.

But the finest attribute of Fugazi live, is the seamless transitions from song to song, that are really just the hallmark of a band that has been playing together for a long time. All the pieces fit so well.

So well, that even when they fuck stuff up(Guy being way off-key on guitar in a couple spots and on vox in a couple others, fr'instance) it sounds pretty good, how it gets fucked up/recovered.

I don't normally realize it, but this album might have a more audibly obvious direct influence on my own noises than any other. So many Brian Wilsonisms pop up in my melodies when I listen back on things that I have recorded. I have listened to this album a lot of times.

Went back to this just to watch this performance of Dear Justice Letter, which is so manic and fantastic. And now, I am just gonna watch it again, I think. Truly, shit kills. It is not the tightest performance, but everything is properly rocking and rolling.

I'm listening to all my old recordings thinking I still really need to get a fucking band together. At least an albums worth of stuff that needs tweaking and vocalising.

I'm fucking loving this right now. Need moar like this.
