So these came today, and my initial testing with them seems to be pointing in the direction of: i think these will work for me?

The real test will be how drumming feels/sounds, as that is usually where plugs come to ruin(and also sticks, from not hearing the attack and then hitting too hard as a result trying to get it to CRCK proper.).

But just sitting and listening to shit, i actually think that they do let enough high end through for my requirements. Feels and looks weird to have them in, but i think they might just work.

If the sound of Pig Destroyer and Nails could be combined into one band where I could just make angry noises over the top of it, I would be pretty stoked.

This band I am going to be fronting is taking a slight turn from what I originally thought we would be doing (the people manning the songwriting department has changed), which is now more like Hatebreed-ish hardcore stuff with a little more extreme influences as well. It'll still be cool I am thinking, though.

yeah I would not have changed either. I am not one to wear shorts to gigs, but I have found that when playing on Fire Island it is expected that the band be relaxed in shorts especially for the outdoor gigs. I hate outdoor gigs, but we have been treated especially well this year, free food (good food) free drinks (good 'spensive drinks). Nothing like a little indulgence.

I actually just purchased a Reaper license. I probably should have done so half a dozen times over by now, considering how much i have used and continue to love the program, but whatever, now it is done.

Nah, i just happen have the money to do it at the moment(because i am saving for a car, but no cars seem to be currently available that satisfy my requirements), and it occurred to me that i would just keep on putting it off if i didn't just fucking do it now. And then i would be right back to not having the money to do it again before i knew it.

The main thing is: i would like to encourage folks like this, to continue to do things this way, and offer things of this flavor. Paying them the tiny amount they are asking for, i figure i can/should do.

It is a little bit weird though, not waiting for the registration thingy to count down before you can use the thing.

I fixed my Grado SR80s. A hair dryer was involved. Yay working right headphone!

How's that work? Did you need it to heat and/or blow the transducer back into position?

I needed to heat up the housing as the two sections are hot-glued together. First I removed the earpiece from the headband, then removed the foam, then heated up the section where the two halves of the housing are joined to loosen the glue. Loose connection in the right earpiece.
