So simple in its implementation. You could even pull the pots/knobs knobs out of a cheepo midi keyboard(surely, older ones would have used resistive pots instead of the digital pots i would more expect to find in modern ones) and swap in the photoresistors, and use the cheepo controller's brains for the midi interfacing, if you didn't feel like programming anything or getting into the much less simple/cheap wold of arduino-based audio toys.

Also, this is the only type of shit that people should be using Reason for, ever. Trick it into not knowing how to make user inputs into a modern r&b track.

I think underground old stuff are absolutely amazing. The amount of labour and sacrifice that it took to dig these things out. From a time when human lives were not so highly prized as they are now.

I'm curious how old the oldest of the sculptures are. The thing dates back to the 1300s.

Wikipedia had this to say:
Quote:
In 1995, Preisner's Music, a compilation of film music by Polish composer Zbigniew Preisner, was recorded by Sinfonia Varsovia in the Wieliczka mine's chapel. The chapel is often said to have the best acoustics in Europe.

I will say this, it does look like it sounds good. Something about the colors and the floor. Just looks classy and ancient.
