I no, rite? Yeah, I know it's a model of clarity and whatnot in that it actually makes sense, but the lazy dog one is, well... A bit prosaic, y'know? This, now... This has some style. Even if it does sorta sound like Dio wrote it.
Of note, there are some 26-character English-language ones that use "cwm" to try and force everything into 26 characters. Which is fucking Welsh, as evinced by its use of a goddamn W where a vowel should be.
I did get a chuckle out of that though after looking up its pronunciation. Which I probably should do more often with Welsh words; I usually just read them as if they were English, pronounced phonetically, 'cause I can't be arsed even though I know it's completely wrong. Anyhoo, it's pronounced "koom" which makes Koom Valley on Discworld a humorous tautology.

A contrabass trombone from 1693. Modern contrabass trombones double the slide over on itself making it a reasonably practical instrument for standard-sized humans to play. I like this version better:

Re: The Chris Thread
This ginormous jacked-up flute sounds more like a synth than anything resembling a normal instrument. Actually pretty cool:

Fucking fantastic. I bet that guy can hardly breathe after much more than a couple minutes of that.
The breath noise does work nicely as a substitute for the edge of a sawtooth wave.

Re: The Chris Thread
On the subject of unusual instrumentation: while I know Chris isn't a fan, I think he can get behind the idea- apparently there's xylophone on the new Opeth record. There's not enough xylophone in rock and roll.

I want the fuck out of a godamned vibraphone, it is true. I generally prefer its flavor to the xylo, but really, it is hard to go wrong with either.
Kind of along the lines, of the celeste on that one song on Raw Power.

Re: The Chris Thread
The vibraphone is a great idea. Electric xylophone- what's not to like? And there aren't enough celestae in anything. It's an adorable little glockenpiano.

This not only confuses predators, but also the blood tastes foul to canine and feline predators
