Torpedo-armed penguins, anyone?

I am preferential to immense tardigrades.

Just, like, big versions (possibly modified) versus eight-armed space bears?

Yes. This way they would still be able to survive extreme temperatures, time and the vacuum.

There's gotta be a way to make 'em proper dangerous as opposed to merely big.

I wonder, also, how tough that carapace would be once you've embiggened them. Naturally armored is more betterer.

Any decreases in structural integrity as we increase the scale would be counteracted with some sort of metal impregnation. Titanium, or something of the like.

For the danger factor, we could give them some sort of underwater armament. A laser guided torpedo, perhaps...
