Got knocked off my bike the other day, first time its happened so far! Luckily wasn't very serious as we were both going pretty slowly but I always underestimate the sheer stupidity of the general population. I actually looked the driver in the eye as he approached the junction and he still pulled out as "he didn't see me". Complete and utter chode. Its made me start wearing my helmet again now though so it's not a bad thing in the end I guess.

You can't be too careful on a bike around cars. They will crush you and play innocent.

Some days are just odd man, and i wake up feeling a combination of stupid and lazy, and i can't shake it.

Hopefully, my much preferred mode of rage-fueled productivity will kick in some time soon.

urgh. Can anyone think of anywhere I might have an official record of my weight from about a year ago? I need it to apply for nhs funding for some surgery but I can't find anything anywhere. Up until last week I hadn't been to the doctors for about 3 years as I had no need to. Currently looking like I might have to wait another year to apply.

So Pat Travers played at a little bar about 20 minutes away from my house last night so I took the little lady with me. I've played this place a number of times when I was with a not-so-popular band they generally are cheap and pay little to local acts, there's some outdoor space but indoors there's only room for 60-100 people. When a band sets up only about 60. They were selling 100 tickets. I ought them in case of a sell out. Well it didn't, but so refreshing to watch a quality straight ahead rockband just crank, no mics on cabs, no direct for bass, just 1 mic on the bass drum and 3 vocal mics. I was standing about 6-8 feet away from Pat for most of the night, there's no stage, and got a chance to talk to all the guys in the band afterwards. Got some good pics and video on my phone if anyone's interested I can upload or link here. The sad part, a legend from 70's-80's rock guitar, playing to about 40-50 people and shit band using nothing but backing tracks (very prevalent on Long Island) packing big venues. Makes me sick.

The name rings a bell but I'd never listened to him. Sounds sweet now that I am checking it on youtube! Seems like you had a hell of a time. Intimate gigs are great... something that is lost on a couple people I know, who only want to see bands if they are in a stadium.

Unfortunately I don't think this'll do, needs to be a proper official document or something signed at least. Unless I can think of anything it looks like I'm gonna have to wait another year. Which sucks but I'm not paying for private health care considering my fucking tax deducted for just last month was about £900

OK so real talk. My grandfather died today at 10:30am today. I found at 11:30am.

This was my mother's father and the most constant and stable role model in my life since I was born until right now so I'm a bit fucked up. We always disagreed on beers but tonight I drink Rolling Rock in his honor.
