Typing on my brand new way too expenssive and uber-clacky keyboard. I feel so fancy. It sounds like an old timey typewriter. :isay:

What are the leads on this going through, map-or-fakemap-wise?

Also, I am not sure a person could go very far wrong with a Clutch tribute band, honestly. :idk:

Oooooh what did you get? I use a Das Keyboard Pro S Mac with cherry blues. It's amazing. I spend a solid 8-10 hours a day typing and it does no give a fuck. All the keys still feel great.

Post Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I wound up going for the older style Corsair K70 with the blues innit. I was looking at a lot of things but i just kept coming back to the media controls being exactly what i was looking for. And with keyboards for what i do, that is kind of a thing for me. For some reason it really fucking bugs me when keyboards do media controls as function keys.

I just finished installing o-rings in all of the main typing keys. I can always take them back out for full clack, but it was a little excessive for with people visiting. Awesome, but excessive. I was going to go for the cherry browns but this one was actually cheaper with the blues, and i can always swap the switches later if i really want to. $30 would do most of them. The o-rings are pretty good so far though. Just a little click and a dull cluck when they bottom out. If i type a little softer, just the click. Probably will be just fine like this.

It is a real nice keyboard though. I don't even feel bad about how much money the thing cost. :D

While i was at it i also picked up a new 6400dpi razer mouse too. My old 1800dpi one is still going strong but i need two now that i will be using the desktop and laptop more or less simultaneously for recording.

The whole thing is my Laney, same settings and everything except I cut some of the bass on the lead and boosted the mids a bit. Plus a bit more reverb and some delay.

The problem with a Clutch tribute would be that they're relatively unknown over here (broadly speaking) so the gig attendees would probably be non existant

I am glad that that was a real map, because it sounded like a real map to me. :red:

Eventually it will sound like that to me though, and not be.

The obvious solution to your Clutch conundrum is to move out here, USA, east coast. I'll play bass or whatever.

yeah I actually look forward to the day when I can just plug straight in and not have to worry about faffing about mic'ing up a loud amp etc. Amplitube 3 is pretty close tbh, just always has that slightly artificial edge to it.

Sounds like a plan re the Clutch band

Had some more musical inspiration when I got in today, it's pretty out of time but I think I can get something semi-ok from this with a load of work https://soundcloud.com/tom_the_beast/acoustic-c-2

In an unfortunate turn of events I did not get the Sytek. :(

However, I will probably be getting one very soon. I also have a lot of interest in some more preamps, as well. :red: Granted, I am not sure how I would use them in addition to my current preamps and the Sytek. I guess I could learn how to go digital with the ART. :red:

Also, this fucker is done now. Shucks:
